What customers say
This peaceful riverside campsite boasts roomy spots with fire pits and great access to the River Medway for watersports. Guests rave about the friendly, helpful owners, clean washrooms, and beautiful scenery. Nearby pubs and cafes are also popular. Though a few note a lack of showers and basic amenities, most found it perfect for short, back-to-basics trips and plan to revisit.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked We stayed for 2 nights with 2 tents and honestly had such a good time! Loved that everyone was out of their tents/motorhomes just having fun — it gave the place such a nice vibe. Our pitch was big enough, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!

Wouldn’t stay here again
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Able to choose the pitch
The hosts were friendly
Disliked The facilities were not kept as clean as could have been, flushes not working properly in some toilets.
Sadly we also had neighbours that shouted and screamed at each other including at 3.30 am!
Dogs not on leads

Loved the pitch right on the riverbank absolutely beautiful

Fire pit on the pitch if you want to use it
You’re allowed to swim, paddle board, canoe in the river.
Nothing to complain about for us. We have a Motorhome with loo & hot water.
Lots of people camping with tents, camper and, mojos, and everyone was really well spaced out. Fab
Disliked Our friends have a camper van without facilities and they found the toilet block a little basic, with no lighting, and the washing-up facilities with only cold water a bit difficult, but we still had a lovely time

A laidback and picturesque back-to-basics site in a great spot
Primitive grass campsite
Liked I liked the ‘chose your own pitch’ camping, the proximity to the river for paddle boarding and the fact that the owners are often on site in case of any issues that need resolving.
The site is pretty basic but the location is excellent- easy walk to a couple of places to eat and a pub with live music.
The site is well designed with a kids area in the centre, which you can camp away from if you prefer a more peaceful experience.
