Liked Lovely location for an overnight stay. Good clean facilities. I've stayed here a couple of times and will do so in the future. Great lake on sight for watersport activities. Cafe and pizza parlour on site. Also new zip wire. Short walk to local supermarket. Helpful staff to hand.

Disliked Younger activity staff were rude. Facilities could be better. More showers of a better quality. Food options close early at 7. WiFi did not work.

Disliked This site was such a disappointment. There were 6 pages of rules for the site, the site was a converted car park and we were jammed in like sardines. The beach was fenced and you could not see it or access it without booking a ‘session’. It is run like a private beach with security and it appears there are a lot of staff and I’m sure it gets busy . Road traffic noise all night. One shower for the campers and 2 toilets- totally inadequate. The actual regenerated quarry was lovely but we could not see it or explore freely. Would not recommend for touring only day stay.

All guests receive a welcome pack, which outlines our campsite rules and includes details on how to book a discounted staycation pass (£20 for unlimited use of your own equipment during your stay).

We’re proud to be rated 8.8 on PitchUp and 4.4 stars across more than 1,200 reviews, and we limit ourselves to just 8 pitches to ensure a comfortable environment. With over 15 toilets on site and dedicated staff in place for guest safety around the water, we aim to balance relaxation with security.

Liked Superb! Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Accommodating us when we arrived on August Bank Holiday Sunday when we’d inadvertently booked the following week! No panic no fuss just a plan.
Facilities are good, but a bit stretched when site is full, only 8 pitches, of families.
Pizzas are very good.
Lovely walk outside the park area to micro brewery, farm shop and butchers.

Disliked Limited walking in the park, it would be really nice to be able to walk round the lake.

You're absolutely right – during peak times the facilities can get a little stretched, and your suggestions about additional showers, clearer walking access, and pitch descriptions are all incredibly helpful. As for walking around the lake and more nature-focused routes – you're not alone in wanting more of that! We're currently exploring options to expand walking access and create more opportunities for guests to connect with nature during their stay. Disliked Having to pay extra for everything, I think if you’re staying the night you should be able to access the lake (or at least pay a discounted amount).

Liked Good spot, great brewery and taphouse walking distance.

Disliked The price of the beach for a family is ridiculous. All of the prices for the activities seemed steep. The aquapark was good fun though

Liked Very secure with nigh time security etc. Lovely and quiet in the evening. Lots of activities and a fantastic brewery which does pizza about 30 minutes walk. No real benefit to the more expensive pitches. There are 8 in total, 4 with slightly better lake view. Great value for the pitch with electricity and great showers etc.

Disliked The activities seemed very expensive but were fun. £30 for beach access was especially expensive but maybe that is London pricing!

Liked Electric and drinking water on each pitch. Picnic table and fire pit an excellent addition. Shower room and toilets were exceptionally clean and had a great fresh smell upon entering.
