What customers say
Beautiful, quiet, friendly site with spacious pitches. Clean facilities, hot showers, kids' games a hit. Welcoming staff (Hannah noted!). Some found limited hot water for dishes & toilets, but improvements coming. Great for nature lovers.

A lovely quiet site for a peaceful retreat
Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked A basic but lovely site provided all that we required for a peaceful period away.
The owner could not have been nicer, nor could she have been more helpful. The option to have a fire pit; milk; eggs; icecream added a nice touch to the site.
The toilets and showers and washing up facilities were basic however, we very clean at all times.
There was also a marquee for the use of all containing a sofa; picnic benches; table-tennis table; air hockey table; badminton and other ball games. This made a pleasant alternative when the weather was not so great.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked We liked the environment and when we visited the pitches were evenly spaced out.
We liked the outdoor seating area with the games area as well. The shower was hot but not much area to hang up dry clothing.
Disliked We did wonder why the scent from the toilet area was quite strong in the morning - presumably being flushed.
There was no hot water for washing up.
The silent time at 9pm made it impossible to.have a conversation easily as normally the quiet time in many camp sites would be 10.30am.
But we liked the beauty of the campsite.

Great campsite
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Very quiet. Hannah is really nice and really hands on making sure that people keep the noise down at night and respect the rules. Loved the shaded gazebo and the games for kids. The kids said this is the best campsite we've been to. Also, toilets are very clean. Wifi is also a plus. The area is beautiful, with lots to do
Disliked Only one shower, 2 toilets and one washing up basin is not enough for the number of tents. I know that Hannah is aware of it and already has plans to add more showers, so that might be resolved soon. Also, tiny nitpick, but it would be nice to have a freezer available for people to put freezer blocks to be able to keep things nice and fresh in a cool box over a few days

Lovely place , clean and tidy . Very quiet at bedtime .
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Beautiful spot , Hannah was really lovely and very welcoming . Good basic facilities .
Disliked Was quite obvious that the neighbours don’t approve of the site . It did feel a bit like they were always on edge worried campers/guests would upset them .

Highly recommend - Value for money, friendly. Ideal base for exploring
Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The friendly, relaxed atmosphere. It was welcoming and spacious and the pitches weren't crowded together. The site manager was very helpful and understanding when I got a bit muddled with the electric hook up. We liked the quiet and the assorted family games that were available to use.
Disliked There only being 2 toilets and one shower room (had 2 showers in so ideal for a family) and the lack of hot water for the washing up. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi wasn't working when we visited - my children were not amused.

From the manager: Thank you for your review and the feedback :)
Absolutely correct about the wifi - annoyingly the new router arrived the day after you left :(
Toilets/showers - i agree! We have 2 new toilets awaiting construction and its the next job on the list ( i plan for higher doors too :) )
Yes - i can see how it is frustrating with cold water wash up. But you will be pleased to know i have thought of that too-
Hot water is indeed coming in the coming weeks! For now, a kettleful of boiling water should take the chill off :)
I will put a washing up bowl out there I think tomorrow.
Loved meeting you all, hope you enjoyed the milkshake. .. my girls are missing yours already - we hope to see you back.
