Great beachside location! Pods are clean, spacious & cute. Pool, park & clubhouse are family-faves. Washrooms can be dirty & lack supplies. Showers sometimes too hot. Food at the restaurant gets mixed reviews.

Camping pod
Liked Great Camping Pods right next to the sea wall and the beach. Great Cycle path to Whitstable and Herne Bay. Friendly site, nice playground and bar. Clean and tidy facilities.
Disliked The reviews on the site didn’t give it justice.

Really beautiful location on the beach, comfortable bed, amazing sunset
Camping pod
Liked The pod had plenty of space for me and the dogs, the double bed was very comfortable. You cant beat the location, it is literally a stones throw from the sea ..... it took me about 45 seconds to get from the pod to the beach....its a lovely quiet part of the beach surrounded by nice walks into either whitstable or herne bay, you are half way between the two....the tide goes out so far you can walk and walk and walk on the sand all the way out past the bouys...you get the most amazing sunsets and sunrises ..the water is shallow and clean .. the toilet block was not too far away, there was a massive field directly behind the pod to walk the dogs on. It was very cosy in the evening with the glow of the porch lights on and the door open ....the staff were helpful and welcoming.
Disliked The showers need some updating.... there is a gap down the side of the door so you can see in, also you have to push a button and your shower starts of freezing for the first 2 button presses and you can't avoid the cold water... the button stays on barely no time before needing pressing again, you can bot control the temperature, the clubhouse served a full English breakfast but didn't open till 3pm
The pod really needs a tether point outside it for a dog, it would be so cheap and simple to just put a hook or a ring fixed to the outside wall somewhere and would make such a HUGE difference to your holiday and ability to relax... its a very dog friendly place so it would be good to cater for theirs and other holiday makers safety and relaxation

Would recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Camping pod
Liked Great stay, toilets and showers very clean, when they get messy it is due to other visitors who should tidy up behind themselves! Camping pods fab, would stay again. Market was also great
Disliked Outside the pod grubby with lots of cigarette butts, bar queues long at times with staff walking around, clubhouse could do with turning night entertainment down no need for it to be so loud, can barely hear each other ‘both nights ‘

Everything you need, but filthy and bar/restaurant was very slow.
Camping pod
Liked It was a nice location with everything you needed. Stayed in a pod which had most of the basics that’d you’d need.
Disliked Over a 3 night stay, the toilet and shower block wasn’t seen to until multiple people complained about lack of toilet paper, and the sheer state of them. The floor throughout the shower block and toilets were disgusting. And the basins. The showers themselves had a warning sign saying “warning hot water” there was no way of adjusting the temperature and it was way too hot for young children. My 4 year old was left with reddening all over his body where it was too hot. Out of 5 showers, two were operational. And the floors in them were filthy, which is incredibly off putting. The washing up facilities had a separate hot and cold tap, and the hot was SO hot you physically couldn’t put your hand under it without it burning your hand. I’ve never experienced such hot water from a tap.
The clubhouse mostly had 1 friendly staff member working behind the bar, but also had to serve food and attend to the arcade and prize counter. This meant you’d always be waiting in a queue. Most times I visited I had to queue for at least 20 minutes. Food options were very basic, no real healthy options, and apart from the pizzas, pretty poor quality.
Staff in the reception seemed somewhat unbothered by our poor stay and just said sorry they’d work on it. No real customer services involved. I had seen that the toilet/shower block cleanliness was an issue in another review as well so they clearly haven’t been working on it. The toilets and showers should be seen to (replenished and cleaned a minimum of twice a day).
The Pod we stayed in was ok, although the biggest blind in the room didn’t cover the whole window as it was too short and the pull cord for it was broken.
Would’ve been nice to have entertainment for the kids in the evening. They had entertainment (a band) on the Friday night but only started at 9. Which was too late.

Excellent site but cleaning needs improving
Camping pod
Liked Location of the site is fantastic.
And all you need is on site - shop, bar/ restaurant, kids playground, launderette.
Bonus points, bedding was provided free of charge.
If negative points in many reviews would be addressed, this site would be an absolute gem.
Disliked Could do with more/ better cleaning.
Cobwebs in and around the camping pod. Dust under the bed. Cereal on the floor from previous guests. Cigarette butts around the pod.
Shower block - cleaning schedule filled for the day without anyone actually cleaning.
Couldn't find drinking water for our water carrier.
Washing up station - water just gushes out, making it impossible to wash up

Alles OK soweit.
