What customers say
Sandwich Lakes is a tranquil spot with roomy, tidy pitches. Guests rave about the spotless, modern washrooms and the great food and service at the on-site café. Fishing's a hit, with well-stocked lakes. Ongoing improvements are noted, and despite minor Wi-Fi and mud mentions, the vibe is super positive, with many guests eager to come back.

Filthy facilities.
Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Cafe on site.
Disliked The road in was VERY narrow.
Hard standing pitches and roadway were very rough and ready.
The facilities were disgusting
Shower walls were filthy with old cobwebs everywhere
Hooks and hand dryer were rusty
Massive toilet roll holders not longer used but not removed just loo rolls on the toilet cistern.
The toilet emptying point absolutely stunk, the hinges were broken so lid just came off and it hadn’t been cleaned for months it looked like.

Liked Very friendly and helpful staff, toilet and shower facilities kept immaculately clean throughout the day, easy to find and well located to explore the area. The fishing lakes are very well maintained and provided some great fishing for an introductory session for a 12 year old!

Fantastic place.
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked I like the new lay out of the site with the hard standings and the water and electric hook up are close by. The site has a happy atmosphere and every one seems happy. The wild life love this site with the lakes filled with ducks with there young and swans in the Meadow lake. Plus very good swims for fishing with large Carp and other species.

A nice site. Have been here before and would come again.
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked The site is mostly as remembered but with a few additions, mainly the animals and the children's play area. Not having any children with us we did not take advantage of this but we can see the benefit of the attraction.

Great site.

Liked Good size pitch. Secure site. Friendly helpful staff. Nice to have the shop and cafe on site (although we didn't use it in the end). Toilets and showers were clean and tidy. We booked as a last minute get away and this site was great.

Nice stop over to visit surrounding seaside towns.
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Location for visiting family away from the busy towns. Nice views. Not expensive. Enough room for awning and van.
Disliked The cafe was limited for choice on food and opening hours were not the same as serving hours which was an issue with having an autistic person with us. Long waits just for coffees.
