What customers say
Lovely, quiet site, spacious pitches, helpful owners. Praised natural setting, lion roars, clean facilities (porta-loos & showers). Some found facilities limited during peak times. Basic but well-kept, ideal for peace & nature. Dog-friendly, good camper atmosphere.

Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked family friendly small campsite
host was nice and kids brought round ice cream to sell
Disliked port a loo wasn’t in the best condition but they were having a new toilet fitted when I was there so 🤞
a bit of a stretch for the ‘wild camping’ theme compared to some I have visited.
located on a fairly active road where there was a group of people shouting and screaming till gone 2am whether there’s a pub near by or other campers that wasn’t great but not the camps fault

The Two Top bell tent
Liked Booked this site last minute after deciding to head try and get an earlier train on the chunnel the following day. Clear directions and instructions, peaceful site, nice clean bell tent with linen provided and great value. Handy 40 minutes from the channel tunnel if that's your plan.
Disliked The toilets are portaloos, they were clean enough however.

Friendly staff
Primitive grass and earth RV campsite
Liked Pre pitched options & glamping kitchen equipped with useful items. Nearest town/village was lovely - Headcorn. New toilets being built.
Disliked Porta loos & shower. No hot water for washing up & not much space for putting items down near the taps/washing up sinks. Lumps in the ground, uncompfy if you are sleeping on a thin mat. Told Camber sands was 35 mins away not 50 mins.

Great location, quiet and friendly
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The site was quiet and spacious so you weren’t pitched on top of other people. Site owner was friendly and came round to speak to everyone in the evening.
Disliked There are a lot of crickets in the grass, but they didn’t bother us too much.

Moonshine ready tent
Liked I picked this site as it had pre erected tents which when camping alone is a life saver. I arrived and called Jayne who immediately came and met me and showed me the tent , and explained a few bits. I was lucky as the day I arrived the Headcorn air show was on and had a fantastic view. Then to chill , I then realised that stupidity had set in and I couldn’t blow my airbed up I messaged Jayne to see if I could rent one and straight away her husband Mark came over took my bed and got it inflated for me what a lifesaver. It’s a dog friendly site and they have the most gorgeous dog who came by to say hi.
This site is back to nature it has two very clean portaloo’s and a shower also two stand pipes for fresh drinking water. It has tables and chairs in a wooden outside room and plenty of pots and pans and gas burner for guests to use. They recycle as well. I loved the fact that apart from around the tents the fields were left wild and the amount of different species of butterflies was amazing. The birds chirping and the sound of the lions roaring from the nearby cat sanctuary was amazing. You will need to bring your food and any extras there is no shops or fridges but if you’ve a car there are some within 4 miles. The ground is uneven when walking but this is due to the rabbits digging so if you’ve poor mobility could be a problem but I just took care when walking. Jayne and Mark are wonderful and friendly hosts and chatted and were so helpful. If like me you really want to get back to nature and submerge yourself in it then this is the place. I felt safe as there is cctv at the main gate and looked after.
