  • Peaceful pop-up site on a family-run working farm with sea views
  • A 25-minute walk to Brook Beach; 15 minutes’ drive to Blackgang Chine
  • Close to coastal walks, trails and bridleways; pub five minutes’ walk
You won’t be short on coastal walks, hikes, bridleways and beaches from Chapelfurlong Farm on the Isle of Wight. In a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it’s no surprise that this peaceful site, part of a family-run working farm, has splendid sea views. If those views have you craving a dip, the nearest beach is only 25 minutes’ walk away - Brook Beach has a fossilised forest and splendid golden sand. Another sandy stretch, two miles long, is just five minutes’ drive away. Compton Beach often has great surf and if you’re lucky, you might find a fossil there too. Chapelfurlong Farm is a pop-up site with sheltered pitching areas and basic facilities that include water and toilets. It’s a peaceful place, that’s for sure, and the location is also rather lovely. The local pub is only five minutes’ walk away, so when you fancy yourself a pint at short notice, you won’t have far to go. If you’ve got the whole family in tow, you’ll also be happy to find that there are a couple of theme parks within driving distance of the site. Blackgang Chine (15 minutes’ drive) has dinosaur and cowboy themed rides, while Robin Hill (half an hour) has 88 acres of entertainment at hand.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: A no-frills site - exactly what we wanted! Stunning views from the top of the field, plus shelter from the wind lower down. Basic, but very clean facilities. Within walking distance of a local pub and there is a convenience store nearby in Brighstone. Very relaxed and hassle-free. We would definitely visit again.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: On arriving to this very quiet, rustic family campsite we were welcomed by the lovely couple who own the farm.we stayed with friends so two of only four tents on sight thoughout our stay. Great place for the children to play from sunrise to sunset. Lucky to get an unlimited pitch at the top of the sight with amazing views of the sea and freshwaterbay. Beautiful sunsets and stary nights. The Sun Inn is only two minutes off sight. Toilet and water, they are going to expand to having shower block's. Lovely rural walks to the beaches or though fields, great for blackberry picking. Was so nice to wake up to the sound of animals, remember its on a working farm. Thank you for having us,we will be back as soon as we can xx

Disliked: **NOT A DISLIKE** ITS JUST A REMINDER to fill your drinking water butt's up early in the morning or late at night as the water pipe gets hot during the afternoon sun ! Unless you want hot water to use for washing of course. There is some sheeps poop about, the odd tractor now and then, did not bother us at all.
