  • Peaceful Hampshire farm stay in the South Downs National Park
  • Birdworld 15 minutes' drive; 20 minutes to Winchester
  • Pitches with firepits; pizza nights and weekend coffee shop
Set on a Hampshire working farm, Manor Farm Camping is a peaceful site offering a relaxed countryside retreat with pitches mown into long grass for privacy. Surrounded by open farmland and scenic walking routes, it’s a great base for anyone looking to slow down and just relish being outdoors. You can get a taste of farm life by meeting the resident chickens and ducks (and lambs in spring), while still having access to well-maintained facilities. Each pitch comes with its own firepit and barbecues can be hired – so that's your cosy evenings under the stars sorted. Hot showers, clean toilets and a washing-up are all on hand too for a comfortable stay. The on-site coffee shop opens on Saturdays and Sundays, so you can kickstart your weekend with a caffeine boost, and the small shop is stocked with essentials, local produce and ice cream. Friday night is communal pizza night; the site owners are happy to show you how to cook in a stone-baked oven. This site is up at the northern end of the South Downs National Park, with plenty of footpaths and bike trails nearby for those who'd like to explore the scenery – and the good news is that several traditional pubs are easily accessed on foot too. For other outings, ride the Watercress Line, meet colourful creatures at Birdworld or step into history with a wander around Winchester.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Spacious field, could camp where we liked, not overcrowded, we had campfires, bbq, pizza oven, a funky, washing up/al fresco dining trailer in the field too, honesty shop with fridge, freezer room and phone charging cupboard. Visits from the chickens and ducks. It is a great space with a lot of things to do if you want to, nearby. Or just relax on site.
Fiona the host is very friendly and helpful. The coffee shop roastery and tap room on site is excellent with very friendly informative Lewis.

Primitive grass campervan or tent campsite

Liked A genuine farm stay admittedly this review is based on limited information as we only stayed for one night. A beautiful and quiet site except for the cockerel greeting the dawn at the side of my head at 4.30 in the morning. Hey Ho it is a farm. My one worry would be the single toilet if the site is busy, which it wasn’t during our stay. I would highly recommend this site but for that one issue.

Primitive grass campervan or tent campsite

Liked What a lovely peaceful location .... nice to have the chickens visit me in the morning too. It's a nice field with great views and the pitches are well spaced so it was quiet and relaxing. Great showers - nice and strong and with proper taps not push button. A little bit quant and quirky with trailer for great views, washing up and sitting down plus cow feeders for fire pits. Owners gave great directions. I'll be back as it is ideal for people who like natural beauty but with essentials ie shower and toilet!
