What customers say
Avon Tyrrell is a gorgeous New Forest spot with tons of outdoor fun, loved by families. Guests rave about friendly staff, roomy sites, and great facilities. While activities are a big hit, some found them costly or hard to book. Expect some plane/camper noise. Generally a top-notch, family-friendly outdoor adventure campsite.

Primitive forest floor tent campsite (forest, pet friendly)
Liked The pitches in the pine trees. Use of a fire pit. Several activities (although we were only there one night, so couldn't take advantage of them).
Friendly team in reception.
Disliked Uncertainty on cafe opening hours. Advertised as 08:00 on the day we went, but still hadn't opened when we were leaving the campsite around 09:30. We kept being told different times by members of staff!!
Felt like the toilet block was always very busy and had to wait to use a shower.

Powered grass campsite (no pets, lake view)
Liked The instructors were very kind, supportive and encouraging. The campsite was mostly clean and tidy. The receptionist in the shop kindly swapped our booking as we had missed it.
Disliked The loo seats should have lids. It's disgusting to think that we brush our teeth surrounded by other people's wee and poo particles floating in the air.
Could there be separate sinks outside for teeth, make up etc?

Primitive grass campsite (no pets, lake view)
Liked Fantastic site, beautiful scenery, great adventure activities, good prices
Disliked Toilets and showers were always clean but there just weren't enough of them, we were in lakeside camping, and more staff needed in the cafe too

Disliked The timing on the push showers , on off, could be a bit longer but not a big dislike

Powered grass campsite (no pets, lake view)

Lovely place with great activities.
Primitive grass campsite (no pets, lake view)
Liked Activities were great. Very clean facilities.
Disliked Eco toilet - would have loved to use it at night, but makes such a horrific noise, would have woken everyone up. Plus so very dark, hard to close the door to lock. It really needs a proper toilet there where it's most used mid camp, with good lighting.
