What customers say
Highly recommended family-friendly farm camping, great value with lots of animal encounters. Kids love feeding sheep & goats. Basic but clean facilities need updating. Peaceful atmosphere, though airport noise is present but usually not an issue.

Primitive gravel and cement/asphalt RV campsite
Liked We booked a night a few weeks ago sadly our camper van broke down on route.so a few weeks later we booked again and are so glad we did. On arrival you drive through a beautiful farm yard pens full of pigs sheep goats ducks hens etc. drove up a little hill to open paddocks next to some horses. We opted to park next to some trees for some shade as it was a very sunny warm day. The paddock was clean and reasonably flat. Small fireplaces scattered around the paddock. We were met by the owners daughter and a member of staff who were just delightful and were very welcoming of us and our dog. They pointed out bridal paths to walk dog and explained the site rules and what was available. Small cafe down in the farm which made fantastic iced smoothie. A very generous bag of wood for£5. The farm and petting area and cafe closed about 5 then we were on our own. Two old portakabin style toilets and one with a solar shower which given it’s on a farm were to us clean enough toilet paper and working lights. Several drinking water taps available about the site. We left about midday with no body rushing us away after a lovely bacon roll from the onsite cafe. We can’t recommend this place enough. It’s rustic and friendly. £30 for the night is fair. Just a little heads up it’s close to Stansted airport so there is some unusual noise from the airport but nothing that spoiled our stay. 1 hour from Hackney so we will definitely be back.

From the manager: Sian, we are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. I think that we are aimed more at young families, looking for a little piece of wilderness. Unfortunately as a couple without children there is less to tempt you and once again we urge potential campers looking to book, to read the description and reviews thoroughly. Our facilities are rustic and the toilets and showers are that of a farm. However, I would dispute that they are filthy, simply well worn and in keeping with their surroundings.
Many Thanks

Primitive grass and earth travel trailer campsite
Liked Daisy mays farm is absolutely amazing, the kids interacted with the owners and helped with the animals they had the freedom to explore on their own without having us with them both. The farm is such a good place and the my have done such a wonderful job with it all, the camping side was so peaceful relaxing and just fun. I would definitely recommend going there you won’t be disappointed
Can’t wait to come back

In summary I highly recommend this campsite. We had a lovely stay.

Liked This was a really nice spot, lots of animals surrounding the camp site. Overall a very pleasant stay. The staff member we spoke to was very polite.
Disliked The only downside to this campsite in my opinion is the proximity to stanstead airport. You do get a lot of noise from the aircraft. However I wouldn’t let that put you off, it was great watching the aircraft as the sun set, just not ideal if you want a lay in!
