  • Family-friendly Lancashire holiday park with views over Morecambe Bay
  • Between the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District national parks
  • Bar, restaurant, games room and play area on site; dogs welcome
Fancy a view over Morecambe Bay with your morning coffee? You got it – and it’ll still be there once cocktail hour rolls around in the evening too. As the name suggests, Bay View Holiday Park sits directly on the Lancashire coast, giving great sea views from many corners of the park. Now part of the Holgates Family Group of holiday parks, this location was once made up of two working farms – so it’s got quiet countryside all around as well as the coastline. And it’s got handy town facilities close by as well, with Bolton-le-Sands and Carnforth both just a couple of minutes' drive away. Morecambe (10 minutes’ drive) and Lancaster (15 minutes) are close by as well – and for greener times you’ll be close to walks in the Forest of Bowland National Landscape and the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales national parks. This is a place that’s been nicely designed with family holidays in mind (and yes, that includes family dogs, who are welcome to join you for a stay here. An outdoor play area and an indoor games room are on site to keep the kids entertained – and it’s only a short stroll along a traffic-free path to get to the beach for sand-based fun. Handy facilities include a launderette, a washing-up area and bathroom blocks, and there’s also a shop on site for self-catering bits (or pick up more supplies in the nearby towns). Over the weekend (Friday to Sunday) you’ll also be able to get drinks at the dog-friendly bar or settle in to the restaurant to have a meal cooked for you.

What customers say

Immaculate, well-kept site. Praised for clean, modern facilities, spacious, private pitches, and friendly staff. Guests loved the location, views, and on-site bar/restaurant. Minor notes: some facilities closed mid-week, some pitches sloped. Many plan to return.

Liked The shower and toilet facilities were impressive, so clean and warm. It was a dream to shower my young Grandaughters with no fuss, no cold, lots of space!

Lovely clean recycling areas, nice pitches with private hedging and gardens

The rabbits hopping around freely was a nice treat for the girls

Very friendly and helpful staff

Disliked The games room was disappointing, full of games that have you to pay for. it didnt keep my 9 and 6 year old entertained for long!

Liked The site was fantastic and the facilities were amazing. Staff were really lovely and helpful. The views were also incredible and the children loved the playground near the Reception. We ate in the pub/restaurant a few times and the food was delicious. We had a lovely visit and will definitely come back again.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Lovely clean site, well maintained and landscaped. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Good facilities - shower block and toilets were immaculate. Sensor showers were excellent. Good sized pitches, well equipped. Good kids play area and loved there was a secure dog field. Love all the mixed native hedges. Lots of cute rabbits running around and surrounded by farmland.

Disliked Not able to take dogs in bar to play pool (they do have a separate room for dog owners so can’t grumble) but kids wanted to play pool and we had to take it in turns to sit outside. Not a proper beach up that end, was told it had quick sand and was boggy. We did have the option of driving to silverdale or walking to morecombe though. Neither of these were dealbreakers and we still really enjoyed our stay.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Very impressed.
Immaculate site, excellent wide pitches with water & electric hook up.
Super quick check in by very helpful staff.
Very modern, spotlessly clean bathroom facilities.
Unfortunately, coffee shop, bar & restaurant weren’t open mid week, however we think that was due to being prior to peak time of school holidays.
First time visitors but we’ll definitely be back!

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Excellent place, facilities the cleanest we have ever seen. Child friendly, well maintained and lovely location for Morecambe and Silverdale.

Disliked Unfortunately a VERY loud camper after the quiet hours which are stated, until 11.30pm. However I feel they were spoken to by management, or at least asked to quiten down, but persistent noise, meant a very disturbed sleep for our little one :( tired campers meant straight home on Sunday!
