Liked: Beautiful views. Very clean toilets, showers and washing up area. Plenty of room for children to play. Nice size pitches.
Disliked: Not many of the pitches were level. We got there early and managed to find a suitable one as we didn’t have levelling blocks.

Liked: We stayed one night out of season and loved how quiet and simple it is. Also a really good location from the M6 and to The Lakes. Non fussy, basic amenities (as described so expected) and beautiful views. It was so peaceful as there were only 2 other pitches booked! We were contacted by the campsite soon after booking with instructions and had a choice of pitches. We chose one that was hard gravel and fairly flat.
Disliked: Only cold water for washing up, but I do understand it’s advertised as wild camping and we coped just fine! Some of the pitches were uneven, luckily we had a choice of pitches as it was so quiet but the first pitch we chose was slightly slanted. However I’m not really sure if it would have made a difference sleeping at night?
