What customers say
This campsite offers a peaceful, clean spot with a great beachside location. Staff are praised as friendly and helpful. Pitches are spacious. Facilities are dated but spotless and well-equipped with hot water. Great value, though the dog fee was noted as high by some. A quiet beach lover's dream.

Liked Everything was perfect. On reading previous reviews about the toilet and shower blocks, I found nothing wrong. They were clean and nothing like the what the previous reviews said. I would go again. Friendly helpful staff.

Liked It was brilliant, everything we needed, facilities were very clean and the site was very quiet and peaceful, we had plenty of room on our pitch and the site worker was so friendly and helpful! The cows walking by in the morning were so entertaining, and the beach was beautiful, highly recommended!

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Very green grass.
Disliked For £20 a person to camp this was very very pooe value. Totally unsuitable unless you have your own vehicle. Its a long walk to Siloth for food.
The tap worked.
The cows were interesting.
That sums up the facilities, and as I say for £20 it's nor good enough.

Liked The friendly welcome and best wishes for our onward journey were the best parts of the whole stay - Rowanbank is very lucky to have such a great man.
Payment was straight forward. The EHU was straightforward annd drinking water was close by. Clear instructions on how to use the barrier and choice of level well spaced out pitches was given.
Disliked The whole site is in a real desperate need of a major update. Looks and feels like the 1970’s. Comes across as a family cash cow with no investment being made to provide facilities worthy for 2025. The dilapidated showers were so very bad I couldn’t face having one and the toilet and dish washing sinks’ water wasn’t particularly hot. The concept of recycling has not reached Rowanbank as yet either.
