Delightful site and a great find. The site deserves to be a success
FHU grass and gravel travel trailer campsite (large)
Liked The layout of pitches is generous and each hard standing level pitch is fully serviced, and best of all comes with a great view of the farm with the Lake District or the Pennines in the background.
The site is easy to reach, just off the M6, very close to Penrith. Ullswater is close as is Carlisle and Hadrian’s Wall.
The toilet/shower block is new and it is best described as six or seven individual bathrooms, comprising excellent shower cubicle, loo and pedestal sink with generous mirror. Good quality toiletry necessitates provided.
We’ll set out Elsan point, grey water drain, recycling bins set up, along with sink to wash the pots completes the convenience.
There is a play area away from the pitches for children to play.
The host is very friendly and engaging.
Disliked If the wind is in the wrong direction there is a little traffic roar from the M6, should that bother you.

FHU grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Toilet blocks are by far the best blocks we’ve seen at a campsite, pitches were very roomy and side overall very well maintained. We arrived late and were welcomed on arrival and shown to our pitch. We only stayed one night as we were travelling up to Scotland but for the short time we were there we loved it, will 100% stay again,

Rosie's Retreat shepherd's hut
Liked I am delighted to share my 5-star experience at Woodhead Farm Caravan & Glamping Site. Our stay was nothing short of spectacular, starting with the magnificent location. The views were nothing short of breathtaking, offering a stunning panorama that made our visit truly unforgettable.
For those seeking genuine respite, the site is wonderfully peaceful and tranquil. It offers the perfect environment to completely unwind and connect with nature. Furthermore, the dedication to maintenance is evident; the entire site is impeccably clean and exceptionally well looked after, which is a huge credit to the owners.
We chose to stay in Rosie's Cabin, and we found it to be absolutely ideal. It was wonderfully cozy, perfectly clean, and the perfect accommodation for a romantic couples escape. It truly felt like a private, luxurious haven. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and are already making plans to return.
