What customers say
Lovely, well-kept woodland site with river access, great for walks/cycling. Praised for clean facilities, friendly staff, on-site pub/bakery. Near Lowther Castle. Some uneven pitches, close sites, minor noise/cleanliness issues. Highly recommended for families/nature lovers.

Great site, will book again.
Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Location, surrounding woodland, nearby walks and river, big tent pitches with electric hook up points.
Disliked Distance from tent pitches to toilet block, seems oddly far away.

Excellent site with clean facilities, friendly staff and level pitches
Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The park is in a beautiful setting with a great playground situated right next to the camping field. We were met with a very friendly greeting and access through the barriers was easy with a barrier code given. The tent pitches were a great size. We added on a small fee for a gazebo/shelter as we were meeting up with friends. This was also handled with ease and definitely worth doing as the weather was hit and miss! Everyone was really friendly and it was the perfect place for a 9 year old to run free.
Disliked The toilets/showers and washing up facilities are further away than you would normally expect for campers which is a bit tricky, especially with a young child.

Liked Lowther Castle is a lovely walk away.
The playpark would have been fabulous if the weather had been good,
Disliked Very disappointing! given our pitch and just shown on a map. When we got to the pitch the caravan next door had an awning attached and the car parked on our pitch/grass so we had no option but to drive forward onto the pitch. You then could not even open the motorhome canopy if you wanted to as there was a tree next to it.
Young children running wild with no one watching them - noise well into late night was not what we had expected at this site. The lady on reception on departure didnt give a damn really.
So pitch for us was grossly overpriced - advertised with picnic table there was not one - we couldnt even connect up to the right electric point we had to trail the wire across and round the van. Feel completely mis sold by pitch up!!
