What customers say
Crake Trees Manor praised for relaxed vibe, friendly hosts, and scenery. Clean, well-kept facilities like heated showers. Enjoy on-site food, pizza, burgers, and occasional music. Piglets are a hit! Minor points: check-in mix-ups, price questions, and signage. Generator power can be spotty.

Lovely place to switch off.
Meadow Den camping pod (two person)
Liked Love our stay in the pod. The grass out front had recently been haybailed so it was a great area to play on for my son.
Showers were warm, toilets were clean. Kitchen area good.
Also loved the free roaming pigs.
Exactly what I was looking for - somewhere to switch off -
Disliked In the pod, there are 2 plug sockets but they never seemed to work - not an issue for me but hard to explain to a young child consistently. I’d rather there just be no plugs than plugs that don’t work 😅

Meadow Den camping pod (two person)
Liked The area was really nice, we loved that there were piglets roaming around. Kitchen area was nice & spacious as well.
Disliked I would come back here in the motorhome/to camp but i don't think i would stay in the glamping pod as it didn't look or feel very clean. There were spider webs inside and it clearly hadn't been swept as their was stuff on the floor. Aw

From the manager: Well as per usual this review is only half the story
These ladies presumably left a poor review because they scuttled away Sunday morning without paying for extra items ordered, and didn’t get away with it.
Having to chase guests for payment after they have left the site is really bad work on their side.
What is to be gained by “getting away without paying “ I ask you ?
Oh …..and in answer to the cleanliness issue.
I cleaned the pod last Friday, Mike showed you into the pod on arrival and I spoke with you later to enquire if all was good !
Our very special site, renowned for its relaxed and mindful vibes is successful because of the honesty and attitude of all guests. Maybe you would be better off staying elsewhere next time

Can't wait to visit again!
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked This campsite is fab! I cannot wait to go again!
Everything is clean, tidy and easy to use. Wheelbarrows are a massive help and i wish other campsites did this more.
Showers were always clean, always had loo roll, water was always warm (the lights for the showers get triggered by motion in the washup room next door - took use a while to figure that out)
The wash up room had spare things if you ever need them (welcome to borrow and bring back), and has really good waste management.
The campsite seems to encourage you to be mindful of what you use and use reusable things when possible.
Camping in the meadow was beautiful with all the flowers and butterflies, most pitches were pretty level and paths were clear to follow.
The sky was so clear during our stay too with very little light pollution so we could see all the stars.
The pigs and piglets topped it off for us, with little gangs of piglets roaming around the field and pitches every now and again. They never damaged anything, went in a tent or anything like that. They were only a few weeks old so were curious but timid and backed away when you go too close.
They're easy to move along if you need them out of the way.
Disliked Slightly better signs once you've parked up to know where the camping field is would be good, we didn't realise there was a grass path to the site instead of the gravel road until the 2nd day.
Also, it's good to know that campfires are allowed, but you can only use the ones provided by the campsite :)
Everything else way fabulous!! Thank you very much.

Great place to camp, thoroughly recommended.
Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked Location was superb, campsite owners were excellent, very friendly and interested in their customers; spent quite a bit of time chatting with them. Never camped in a meadow ablaze with flowers before, a great experience and a testament to their very eco-minded business. Great base for walking - the Orton Fells are just over a mile and half away. No wifi, but there are decent mobile signals. We don't really stay on campsites 24 hrs a day, but we spent 2/4 days on this one such were the peace and quiet and views. Oh, and the cat's real friendly too. Look forward to the next visit.
Disliked I wouldn't say that this is a dislike, more a wish list item: could have done with a fridge/freezer that worked all day to enable ice packs to freeze. But if that's the only negative I can find, then this is a very positive review.
