This is a lovely, quiet spot with great views. Owners are helpful. Good for exploring South Lakes. Metered electricity, no toilets. Some noise from A590, but generally peaceful.

Perfect stopover, very good CL, noisy A590 nearby
Power optional cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite (members only)
Liked Level pitches, attractive views, water tap & elec by pitch, lovely friendly owners and there’s a fairly easy walk to Lake Windermere along country lanes. Perfect stopover if travelling up or down the M6, as the A590 is a very good, fast route to nearby the campsite
Disliked Noise from the A590 - it meant that for us this was just a stopover rather than a really relaxing countryside stay

Really good, picturesque site with all you need.
Power optional cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite (members only)
Liked Stunning views across the countryside. I believe there are some local walks, however, we just enjoyed the views and the sunset. Very clean. Grass pitch but has a membrane like thing under, so even though there had been quite a lot of rain there were no issues with the grass. Decent size pitch. Electric and water easy to get to. Garage a one minute drive away for essentials.
Disliked Remembering to send the meter reading to owners.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review. We’re so pleased you enjoyed the views, sunsets and the site itself, especially after all the recent rain!
We appreciate your feedback regarding the electric meter readings too. As a small 5 pitch CL site, we ask guests to send their readings so we can keep pitches fairly priced and only charge for the electricity used. We do try to keep the process as simple as possible and are always happy to help if needed.
Thank you again for staying with us and we hope to welcome you back in the future.
Excellent site, good place to go

Liked Very spacious plots with water and electric on all of them very quiet and peaceful away from the Madding crowd
Disliked No toilets or showers, but that’s okay as i was in my Motorhome the only problem was electric. You asked to take a photo when you get there and when you’re about to leave to pay for the electric I tried to hook up But it never came on perhaps they should charge a bit more in their pricing for the site

From the manager: Just a friendly note about the electric hookup 😊
Our units are fitted with safety isolators, so if the switch isn’t fully turned into place, the electric supply won’t come through to the unit.
If you find you have no power, please check that the isolator is fully switched on.
Thank you, and we hope you had a lovely stay!
