This well-kept site, set in lovely natural surroundings, is highly recommended for its peaceful atmosphere and relaxing vibe. Guests rave about the clean, well-equipped glamping cabins and pods, praising the smart use of space and comfy beds. It’s perfectly located for Coniston village and the lake, with great walking trails. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. Really nice site overall, the pod…
Glamping microlodge
Liked Really nice site overall, the pod perhaps felt more corporate than 'homely', but the layout was well thought through for the small space available. Friendly staff, generally clean. Lovely location. The pod is quite high up the hill, perhaps half a mile walk to get down to the lake. There's a nice walk to Coniston town that pops out by the reception area.
Disliked It was advertised as having WiFi but there's no WiFi available in the cabin we stayed in. I mentioned this in a customer survey and a member of the team contacted me about it, he was very polite but wouldn't admit there was no WiFi - kept saying things like 'we understand the signal may drop out due to the location' but realistically it didn't 'drop in' in the first place. Happy to do WiFi-free stays sometimes but appreciate things being as advertised.
Although it was a nice stay, we probably wouldn't return only because for the price I think you could get a larger property not too far away with better facilities if the weather was unreliable (like it was when we stayed), or if the weather was good we'd prefer to camp closer to the lake so we could easily access with our paddle boards. But I'm sure others will find it fits their needs well.
