Set in 20 rural acres on the Cheshire Plain and five minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Tattenhall, Manor Farm Caravan Park is a small family-owned site with hardstanding and grass pitches sheltered by high hedges and trees. It’s a peaceful spot that’s something of a wildlife haven; you might wake up to the chirping of birds and the sight of playful wild rabbits scuttling around the fields. Keep your eyes open at dusk and you may spot ducks and geese settling for the night around the ponds, or hedgehogs foraging for food. Tattenhall has its fair share of half-timbered cottages and indie shops as well as pubs, restaurants and takeaways if you’re wanting someone else to do the legwork where food is concerned. When you’re looking for outdoor adventures, Delamere Forest (20 minutes) is a labyrinth of walking, horse riding and cycling trails, while Chester (also 20 minutes) makes a great day out thanks to its Roman/medieval walls, half-timbered Tudor-era architecture and zoo. Facilities have been kept to a minimum so as not to disturb the wildlife, but all the pitches have an electric hook-up. There are also spotless showers with loads of hot water to go round, and a covered washing-up sink.

  • The park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Breed-specific legislation (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).
  • Group bookings of 3 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
  • No bachelor/bachelorette parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
  • The park caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.
  • Continental touring caravans (caravans built with the passenger door on the right-hand side) are not permitted.
  • Tents are not accepted at this park.
  • At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.
  • A cable measuring at least 10 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
  • Units longer than 8 metres are not allowed.
  • Minimum spacing of 6 metres between pitches.
  • Guests are advised to bring a good quality flashlight with them as parts of the park are unlit.
  • Bookings must not consist of more than 2 different households.
  • Swimming in the lake is not allowed.
  • There is no reception building on-site: on arrival please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
  • Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
  • The charging of electric vehicles is not permitted on site.

This peaceful, well-kept site offers great value with spacious, level pitches. Reviews highlight spotless washrooms and welcoming owners. The large dog field is a plus. While more washrooms and nearby amenities were wished for, it's a good base for exploring, and many would return.

Liked Our second stay. Lovely quiet site, good sized pitches, spacious feel to whole site.
Visited the ice cream farm which is a couple of minutes away.
3 very clean showers in ladies which never seemed to get busy, I didn't have to wait
Will definitely go back

Disliked Nothing apart from would have liked a mop in showers to give it a wipe when I'd finished

Liked Close to lots of places to visit with kids e.g. icecream farm and Crocky Trail. Pitches were a good size. Toilets were clean.

Liked A great place for our first outing in our new camper. Everything was great, very friendly camp site - loads of space. Everywhere was very clean and tidy. Showers and toilets very clean - showers nice and hot.

Dogs loved the field for walks.

Walked for an ice cream at the ice cream farm and not Tattenhall for a couple of pints.

Liked Lovely welcome, explained where everything was and shown to our pitch.
Lots of choice of where to park our camper. We were non electric . Lovely site. Flat ground . Immaculate toilet and shower facilities. Lovely and quiet site. We will definitely be going back very soon with our bikes to explore the canal close by.

We didn’t expect a lot considering the price, it was just a stop over for us heading to the Lakes from Carmarthen.
We loved how wide the access roads were, the guy that met us at the gate was very friendly and told us exactly where to go and gave us a choice of pitches. Nice wide access from the main road. Seemed a lovely friendly family site. We left quite early 9am but that’s because like I said it was just a stop over for us.

Disliked ~Shower Curtains-
Now as a long distance lorry driver unfortunately I’ve seen my fair share of public showers. These out weigh a lot of what I deal with on a weekly basis. They were very clean, extremely hot (of course adjustable). My only criticism for the whole site is the shower curtains. The tray are not big enough for someone to stand in without the curtain getting stuck to you. The only way to combat this is either install sliding glass doors or install longer trays. The longer trays isn’t really feasible in the space they have so it would have to be a sliding door in my personal opinion.

Liked We stayed at manor farm last weekend will definitely be going back pitch was good shower and toilet block spotlessly clean the girl who sorted our pitch for us was really nice couldn’t do enough for me when she found out that I was disabled she got us close to the showers and loo would recommend this site especially as it’s only 15 minutes from Chester and about the same to the zoo
