  • Family-friendly site in the former Emmerdale village
  • A 15-minute drive from Yorkshire Dales National Park; Leeds 35 minutes
  • Clubhouse with a well-stocked bar; a short drive from market towns
Spacious pitches, scenic Yorkshire surroundings, proximity to Leeds and a pint in Emmerdale’s Woolpack pub… These all await you at Esholt Sports and Leisure Club, a family-friendly site set in the village that was formerly used as the location for the TV soap. It's surrounded by scenic countryside in the Yorkshire village of Esholt, 20 minutes' drive from Bradford and 35 minutes from Leeds. Esholt found fame as the original setting of Emmerdale: fans of the show will probably recognise several other village locations while here. (And whether you're a fan or not, a pint at the Woolpack is probably a top idea…) Esholt Sports and Leisure Club has a clubhouse and a well-stocked bar. Amenities for guests include toilets, showers and a chemical disposal point. Esholt is well placed for visiting many Yorkshire attractions, such as the museums of Leeds and Bradford, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Saltaire and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

What customers say

A welcoming, serene campground with ample, flat spots, near a charming village & pub. Guests enjoyed the chill vibe, cricket/football viewing, & helpful staff. However, some noted basic, older washrooms with limited units, & occasional shower lighting/temp issues.

Power optional grass campsite

Liked Great site! Very friendly welcoming staff. We were directed to our pitch upon arrival and informed about the facilities on site.

We were given an information sheet with the codes to the shower blocks and toilets. There is a separate toilet/shower block for ladies too, which I personally liked.
Toilets are well kept and shower areas are mopped regularly.

The pitch we were given was very spacious and have no complaints about it.

Site is very well maintained and it has a club house as it belongs to a cricket/sports club.

Esholt is a beautiful place and the famous “Woolpack pub” from Emmerdale is in the village, and it is about a 5 minute walk from the site.

Check in is at 12pm and check out is 11.30am.

Disliked Nothing.
