Great stopover for visiting Holy Island or Ross Sands
Primitive grass and earth RV campsite
Liked Huge, fairly level, pitches with great views over to Holy Island (only 10 mins drive). Easy walk to the nature reserve / bird hide, and longer walk to Ross Sands too. Several water points, chemical/grey water disposal and Portaloo toilets (spotlessly clean with sink and hand towels).

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Well organised site. Lovely flat field to set up tent. Left to ourselves by the owner which is nice, but contact number available should we have needed any assistance. Nice and clean toilets. Would book again

This is an excellent back to basics site with immaculate facilities
Primitive grass and earth RV campsite
Liked We loved this campsite which, although described as ‘wild camping’ had every facility we could require for our motorhome except electric hookup.
The pitches were huge and level in the main. The unexpected bonus was the immaculate portaloos ( cleaned daily), chemical waste and grey water disposal plus several fresh water points.
The site affords stunning views over the causeway to Lindisfarne (Holy Island) which is only a 10 minute drive away and is within easy walking distance to a beach and nature reserve with bird hide to view the wading and migrating birds.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Peaceful and quiet with a beautiful panoramic view of Holy Island and surrounding areas. Vast skies. 15 minute walk to wildlife hide so great for bird watchers. Woke up to the sound of curlews in the morning. Clean, well taken care of portaloos (with air fresheners!) and bins for general waste, recycling and glass bottles. Lovely friendly host. Only a short drive to local tourist attractions such as Holy Island, St Cuthbert's Cave and Seahouses for boat trips to the Farne Islands. Will definitely be back xx
