What customers say
Friendly site, spacious pitches (especially right of pub). Staff praised as helpful. Pub gets great reviews for food/atmosphere, with entertainment. Ideal for Northumberland. Toilets/showers dated/not always clean. Train noise & occasional loud pub music noted.

Good sized level pitches, friendly staff ,
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Perfect location as were visiting friends nearby
The pub was closed 2 of the days we stayed(which we were aware of)
And was also told by the lady who showed us to our pitch, -
we didn’t visit the pub , but only as were out with our friends or we would have done and will in our next stay
We use our own facilities in MH so cannot comment on the site facilities
There was noise from the passing trains ,as we had previously read on reviews,
but that didn’t bother us, nor did it keep us awake or wake up up in the mornings

Nothing , there was no one…
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Nothing , there was no one there to check us in, the hole place was in darkness and locked, including the pub. Tried contacting the site via the x2 numbers given but no answer. Also tried to contact via facebook as directed by the answering machine instructions, received a reply an hour later saying someone will pop down. By then we had found another site a 40 mins drive away. Contacted the owner by e-mail requesting a refund and he replied stating "No refund to be given" and called us a liar saying there was someone there and just ignored subsequent e-mails. Took numerous e-mails to pitchup who eventually sorted a refund 4 weeks later without apology from site though! Thanks Pitchup...

Location…
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Location
Disliked The campsite facilities are very basic and
need updating as a matter of urgency.
Toilet/Shower block are not cleaned regularly and toilet paper not replenished.
Paid for 2 pitches so we could be next door to our friends only to be put on 1 pitch so no room for conopy/awnings to be put up.
From a safety point of view you should be further apart.
Lighting very poor by the toilet block and slippery under foot on the ramp.
No lighting at all by the wash up area/elsan waste area.
