What customers say
Lovely small, well-kept site with spacious, private spots in a beautiful setting. Clean facilities & helpful owners are a hit. Only minor gripes: occasional shower queues, no parking at pitch, and spotty Wi-Fi.

One of the best sites I have stayed at, will definitely return
Chestnut bell tent (six person, XL)
Liked We absolutely loved the site. It felt very safe, peaceful and well set up. The shared facilites were excellent - very clean and clearly a lot of thought has been put into the design. We liked that the site is quite small, so not too busy. We had plenty of space to play in the grass area and didn't feel crowded. The shop had lots of very tempting produce, but I especially appreciated the coffee machine!
Disliked Nothing, only minor thing would be the lack of vegetable peeler in the kitchen, but that is being very picky!

Great stay thank you
Powered grass tent campsite
Liked Had a lovely time at Clover Hill Farm. The pitches are spacious and only a few of them which was great. Big grass area in the middle where the children all played together. The bathroom facilities were kept clean with them being checked regularly and yes there is only 2 toilets and 2 showers but think I only queued once for a toilet in 4 days with the site being nearly full. The kitchen facilities are also clean and the added bonus of a microwave, oven , hob and kettle to use were ideal. There is a small honesty shop on site with treats and ice creams which the children were happy about. If you want to get the bus to Whitby which we did, you literally had to stand at the end of the road opposite the petrol station by the Scaling sign and stick your arm out when it came past there is no actual bus stop. Overall a great hidden gem of a site.

We stayed for a week at the start of the summer holidays…
Powered grass tent campsite
Liked We stayed for a week at the start of the summer holidays 2025 with our 2 children (6yrs & 3yrs). We felt safe on the site with our children able to play outside freely, as we could see them clearly across the site. The facilities were always kept clean and in good working order. The whole site was clean, tidy and well kept, you can tell that the owners have worked hard to set this site up and are still looking to improve and develop it further. We stayed in our own tent with electric hook up but the glamping tents looked amazing and we are tempted to stay in one when we return (which we definitely will). There is a large space in the middle of the camping areas which allowed children from all the different pitches to play together which was lovely to see. Each pitch is quite private and has plenty of space so you don't feel crammed in like you can do on some other sites.
There are 2 toilets, 2 showers, a communal kitchen area with 2 sinks, 2 fridges, a microwave and small countertop oven and hob unit, pots and pans are available to use too. There is also a small converted horse box which has an honesty box for snacks, drinks, s'mores kits, jams etc, there is also a card pay coffee machine in there. There is also a wood store with made up boxes of kindling and bags of lump wood charcoal to purchase through the honesty box. Each camp pitch has a stone ring for a fire pit and tripod BBQ to stand, which can be hired from the site. They have a parking area next to the campsite, close to the pitches with trolly's available to use to take things to and from the car which was very useful.
Overall the site was very well set up, convenient, safe, tidy and clean. We will certainly be back again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Would highly recommend and would use again personally.
Powered grass tent campsite
Liked I was pleasantly surprised with the communal kitchen which offered above and beyond needs. Facilities were great and the showers are powerful and hot 👌
Location is perfect for beaches ranging from 15-30 mins depending on the beach.
Disliked Although it wasn’t next to pitch parking I thought it was made up for by providing trolleys for transporting of luggage etc so can not necessarily call this a dislike comment 🤝

Excellent site for families with amazing facilities!
Chestnut bell tent (six person, XL)
Liked Beautifully kept small campsite with good spacing between pitches.
Kitchen amenities above and beyond any other campsite I have stayed at- fridges, microwave, kettle, toaster, jobs and small oven bailable for campers. Washing clothes, teas towels, bowls and washing up liquid provided.
Bathroom facilities have a air of luxury for a campsite too. Constant supply of quality loo roll and bath mats provided for every party for the shower. Bathroom was always impeccably clean.
Honesty shop offers a range of food and drink from cakes, jams and ice creams to pot noodles, fizzy pop and s'mores kits. There is also a range of wood and fire lighters for your fire pit. All are paid for by cash in an honesty box or scanning the QR code.
The campsite was quiet even though every pitch has family campers and the rules were followed which made the stay much more pleasurable.
We stayed in Chestnut Bell tent. 1 fixed double bed, 2 fixed single beds and a futon sofa bed. All had beautiful bedding, plenty of blankets and lovely crisp sheets. There was a dinner set and washing up equipment supplied as well as a starter kit for the wood burner. We also hired a bbq for our stay which was a bargain!
We absolutely loved our stay here so much we asked if we could extend it but unfortunately there was no availability. We will definitely be back!!!
Disliked There was honestly nothing we could comment on that we didn't like

Like a camping air BnB with those added few extra touches!
Powered grass tent campsite
Liked Loved loved loved this site. Spacious quiet pitches in the most beautiful surroundings. Well kitted out small kitchen area and really good showers. Could maybe do with more than 2 toilets and 2 showers for the whole site but was not really a problem and most people used them sensibly. Loved the little coffee shop with snacks and cold drinks and even ice creams. Coffee you paid on card, the rest was via honesty box, nice little touch! Kitchen has kettle, microwave and small camping oven as well as 2 communal fridges to use. Utensils too in case you forgot something. Can see why they get a too score. Glamping tents looked amazing. Will be using this as a regular spot cos felt totally safe with being on my own. And because it's a small site, you got to speak to most people on the site which was nice!
Disliked One woman decided to have a full wet wipe clean including getting dressed and makeup on in 1 of the 2 toilets in the morning when people were queuing. She forgot her towel so did not shower. I asked her why use a toilet when she could have used a shower room???? Some people don't have much sense or courtesy to fellow campers!! But not the sites fault!
Bring ear plugs cos birds can be a bit noisy during the night over at the reservoir, not really a dislike. Any site in the countryside will have animal noises!!
Did not see anything about WiFi but I never asked either haha

Lovely getaway site, perfect for solo travellers, groups and families.
Powered grass tent campsite
Liked Beautiful location, small site (which we wanted), very comfortable and level pitches with a decent amount of space between pitches.
Well equipped and maintained kitchen hut, washroom and shop. The option of paying for items from the shop with cash or via your phone was particularly handy.
Wonderful first family camping stay.
Disliked More trolleys would have been welcome and larger ones too for those who have brought a lot of equipment.
An extra couple of toilets would be helpful particularly at busier times of the day.
