Bell tent
Liked We stayed in the outpost from 21st-23rd July, Ed & Verity were amazing hosts and we had everything we needed and more!
One of our favourite parts of the site was the resident barn owls who are not shy and love to give a show especially in the field that we were in. The surrounding woods were amazing, we found more and more little nooks and crannies as we went on - treehouses, hammocks, lots of surprises and wildlife!
Inside the tent, the bed was really comfortable and it was well lit on a night with solar lights & fairy lights, even a lantern and torch for if we left the tent after dark. The kitchen had pots, pans, cups, glasses and all the utensils we needed along with a working fridge, a hob (even though we chose to use the fire to cook on) and running hot & cold water with a sink. We also enjoyed a refreshing shower in the separate bathroom!
We loved our stay and will definitely be returning to this spot!

Beautiful place, fab attentive staff. Just overall a lovely place
Primitive grass campervan or tent campsite
Liked 18th July-20th wild camping.
Worth every single penny!
Lovely owners who check in on their guests, and offer a lovely spot to pitch up. Also anything else you may need.
Tap and sink area to wash pots, and fill buckets, and a compost toilet in the field that is maintained and very clean.
One of the best things is that you are not limited to check ins and check outs, so if the weathers good before heading home, you can still relax and bob those pans on, with no worry of being off site at 11am. Very laid back.
Although you’re out in the country side, they have a lovely fully stocked honesty shop, stocked with everything you could think of. Even a fridge with milk and cans of fizzy drinks, also locally made ice cream 🍦
10 minutes from Robinhoods bay and Whitby.
Pitches are wide apart, in the long grass. No close neighbours and no noise from early risers, apart from the wood pigeons, or barn owls 🦉 ❤️
We will definitely be back again!
Thank you Coast and Camplight xx Keeley and Karl xx

Primitive grass campervan or tent campsite
Liked The over grown field with the pitches cut into them, great for wildlife and sort of was more private. The host was excellent, very helpful and talkative. Barn owl visited the field many times during day hunting and comes quite close, fantastic. The view of Whitby Abbey from our site was great too
Disliked Not much to dislike really. We booked camping site and all was as we expected.
