Specifically set up for large motorhomes, the family-run site is easy to get to from both the M62 and the A1(M). Opened in 2024, this adults-only spot is just the job for anyone looking for some quiet downtime on landscaped pitches with views over the surrounding fields. They’re all fully-serviced, but there is also a pristine shower block available for your use. You can source most basics in Cliffe’s well-stocked shop, or have a wander down to the local pub (20 minutes’ walk) for a crafty pint of Yorkshire ale; there’s a beer garden for warmer days. At the weekend, the action ramps up a bit with entertainment across the road at the sister site Cliffe Country Lodges, where you can chat with your neighbours at the on-site clubhouse and bar.

Liked Was a lovely clean modern site, people were lovely you were made to feel very welcome, toilets & showers very clean & well equipped, we arrived as strangers but left as friends, will definitely be coming back

Liked The meet and greet at reception was helpful , we had a choice of pitches for our tent stay, site was very clean and facilities was exceptional clean, we were staying over a weekend so to have the use of the clubhouse on lodge site was great as is a good walk to any other places.

Liked We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay it was nice and clean , the shower block had 2 showers that were cleaned every morning the staff were friendly especially Alan and his wife they couldn’t do enough to help in every way they could they even helped us with our awing for our motorhome as it was first time we had used it and couldn’t reach the top to zip it up the sister site over the road had a small pub Sean’s bar the locals were very friendly and spoke to us as if we had known them years,we r definitely going back to stay again and dog friendly with a dog walking field over the road

Disliked No separate recycling for glass, tins, cardboard etc. I guess we’re conditioned to feel guilty about that these days.

Liked Decent site but definitely more suited for caravans, if the site had been full we would have been encroaching on others space as we we're pitched on a grass verge behind caravan pitches

Disliked Just a note if the site is full there's only 2 toilets and 2 showers which i feel you'd struggle with and there's no facility for pot washing

Golfers will be happy to hear that there are several courses within half an hour’s drive, and walkers can look forward to strolls around the ponds at wooded Skipwith Common National Nature Reserve (10 minutes’ walk) or through the wildflower meadows at Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens (15 minutes). If you’re in need of a wardrobe update, there are bargains galore at the Designer Outlet York (20 minutes’ drive), while gorgeous, historic York (25 minutes) has more wonderful shopping in cobbled streets like The Shambles.
