What customers say
Spectacular sea views, peaceful and spacious, with easy access to Cayton Bay beach. Great base for local exploration, good value for solo travellers. Limited portaloos and showers noted. Windy and no on-site drinkable water mentioned. Many would return.

Good time had
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked I booked sea view camp site Scarborough for just one night to take my grandson camping, the site was exactly as described basic which I was aware of but toilets were very clean.
I have a problem walking and found it a bit difficult walking as the ground was pot holed and uneven.
But piece full and very handy for getting into Scarborough, my grandson loved it.
Cheap and cheerful, well marked out with spacious plots and simple booking.

Brilliant camping with wild views
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked When we booked we wasn't sure what to expect, it said on a cliff but we didn't really think it would of been! When we drove onto the field we were amazed! We chose a great spot to tent up, the views are epic its just what we had hoped for. It was my 50th birthday and we had champagne under the stars. Brilliant. The toilets were very clean another plus. We loved that there was no light pollution and the fact it was as close to wild camping as you get. Pitches are big enough for what is needed plus the car. Massive thumbs up we will be back.
Disliked Only really the wind ha but thats not something that can be helped when storms are about! Really can't complain

Basic and Perfect spot to escape.

Liked Sea View Camping – Cliffs between Filey & Scarborough
Sea View Camping is a gem of a site — perfectly simple, beautifully laid out, and in the most stunning location. Perched on the cliffs, it offers panoramic views of the sea that make every sunrise and sunset unforgettable.
Facilities are basic but exactly what you need: clean, well-kept portable toilets and plenty of space to feel comfortable. There’s a clear, easy path down to beach access about half a mile away, and the site itself feels wonderfully peaceful and scenic — a true escape from the everyday.
The host, Mark, deserves special mention. His communication was excellent — he reached out ahead of my original August booking to let me know about potential 45mph gusts and suggested I might want to reschedule. Thanks to his foresight and flexibility, I was able to move my stay to later in the month and avoid a couple of very stormy nights. I really appreciated his thoughtfulness and the effort to make sure guests have the best possible experience.
It’s also convenient without spoiling the tranquillity. There are small shops nearby for essentials, and Filey or Scarborough are just a short drive if you need bigger supplies.
I camped here with my dog and it was perfect — fresh sea air, great walks, and a relaxing atmosphere that left us both recharged.
If you’re looking for a back-to-basics campsite in a breathtaking setting, with everything thoughtfully in place but nothing unnecessary, Sea View Camping is spot on. Highly recommended!
Disliked Nothing about the site.... only that I could not stay longer this time!

Liked Amazing views . Clean facilities. Plenty of space and great location .not too close to the busy seaside towns so you can enjoy the peace and quiet but close enough to be able to enjoy the best of both worlds 🙂
Disliked Path to the site is very bumpy but its a field and is to be expected
And wind can be very strong no fault of the sites just a little warning 🤣
