  • Quiet family tourer park on the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast
  • A 10-minute drive to Filey, 15 to Scarborough and 20 to Bridlington
  • Heated shower blocks and laundrette, on-site essentials shop
A warm northern welcome awaits all comers at Lebberston Caravan Park, a multi-award-winning park set in stunning countryside 15 minutes’ drive from Scarborough on the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast. Edging the limestone hills of the Yorkshire Wolds, it’s a scenic spot for a peaceful and relaxing break – yet you can be on Filey Beach within 10 minutes’ drive. After a busy day building sandcastles or splashing around on the beach, let your children burn off any remaining energy on the extensive grassy area, where there are goal posts available for a kick around. The landscaped site has neat grass and hardstanding pitches of varying sizes – something to suit every budget – and facilities include three centrally heated shower blocks with loos, wash basins, individual wash cubicles and hot showers, as well as thoughtful extras like shaving points and hair dryers. In case there are any accidents or spillages while you’re on site, washing machines and tumble driers are free to use, and there’s also an iron in the laundry area. Forgotten something? No worries, chances are you’ll find it for sale in the on-site shop – where there’s bags of visitor information if you need a bit of inspiration for days out.

Well-kept, quiet site with spacious pitches & great facilities. Friendly staff, ideal for coast trips. Some note limited kid's entertainment; others love the peaceful vibe & dog walks. Wi-Fi spotty; not all pitches have drive-over grey waste.

FHU grass and gravel travel trailer campsite (XL, super)

Liked Good size pitches, very clean toilets/showers. Great dog walk on site, with an off lead area. Fully serviced pitch.
Good base to visit area, would use the site again.

Disliked The serviced pitch grey waste drain smelt and that smell came into the caravan via our waste pipe and sink plugs. Not a massive deal, we just reverted to our waste master.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your review and recommendation.

We’re pleased you found the site well placed for exploring the area, with good sized pitches, clean toilets and showers, and useful dog walking areas. It’s also great to hear you enjoyed having a fully serviced pitch and would visit again.

Regarding the grey waste smell, this is usually caused when a caravan is connected directly to the drain without the correct trap or waste equipment. A trap is needed to prevent smells coming back through the waste pipe and sink plugs, as the drain itself will naturally smell if connected directly.

We’re glad this did not have a major impact on your stay, and we appreciate your feedback.

We would you this site again without any doubt!

FHU grass and gravel travel trailer campsite (XL, super)

Liked We loved the pitch, the cleanliness, the quietness, the bus stops nearby, the ease of accessing the site on arrival.

Disliked The showers in the block closest to our pitch were lukewarm, after 2 days when they were just the same, we tried the ones in another block and they were great. Internet was never available!

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you Carole, we’re pleased you enjoyed your stay and would recommend Lebberston without any doubt.

It’s great to hear you loved the pitch, cleanliness, peaceful setting, nearby bus stops and easy arrival process. We’re sorry one of the shower blocks was not as warm as expected during your stay. Sometimes the showers simply need running for a little longer to bring the hot water through, but we’re glad the other block was working well for you.

Regarding internet, Wi-Fi is not advertised as a site facility at Lebberston, as signal can vary depending on pitch location, device and the caravan itself. We understand it can still be useful, but it is not something we guarantee.

Thank you for your feedback and for saying you would visit again. We hope to welcome you back soon.

Liked Very peaceful it’s like an adult only site as very few children and as I have older child that’s great for us.
Beautiful site immaculately clean perfect plots with stunning views loved the site so much we have booked to come back again !! 😁

Disliked WiFi didn’t work unfortunately

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you Melissa, we’re delighted you enjoyed your stay so much that you have already booked to come back.

It’s lovely to hear you found Lebberston so peaceful, clean and immaculate, with perfect pitches and stunning views. We’re really pleased the quieter feel of the site worked so well for your family.

Thank you for the helpful note about hard ground rock pegs, as these are useful on fully serviced hardstanding pitches.

Regarding Wi-Fi, we do not advertise this as a site facility, as performance can vary depending on pitch location, device and the caravan itself, with caravans often acting like a Faraday cage and affecting signal strength.

Thank you for recommending us, and we look forward to welcoming you back again.

FHU grass and gravel travel trailer campsite (XL, super)

Liked Lovely site in a peaceful location but within easy reach of main roads for easy access. Bus service at the top of the drive for buses going to Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington - we used this service as it was so much easier to jump on a bus rather than find parking options in the towns. We stayed on Killerby View which is their newest field I think and our pitch had lovely views - only slight drawback from this field was a longer walk to facilities blocks but the views are worth it. Lovely well maintained site.

Disliked Politely being told off by staff for walking across the grass between pitches. You have to walk across the grass between pitches to gain access to Killberby View field from the bottom field so one minute its okay to do it but then apparently its not!!! I did point out that the signs around the site are a bit confusing then and should be clearer as the only sign I saw said about keeping dogs on short lead past the caravans, suggesting its okay to walk past the caravans. There were no signs saying "do not walk on the grass" which is needed if that's the case.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you Paul, we’re pleased you enjoyed your stay and found Lebberston peaceful, well maintained and convenient for visiting Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington.

It’s great to hear you liked Killberby View and felt the views were worth the slightly longer walk to the facilities. We’re also glad the bus service worked well for you, as many guests find it a really useful way to explore the coast without needing to drive.

Regarding walking across the grass, this is not about being awkward, but about protecting the pitches and respecting other guests’ space. The grass between pitches forms part of individual touring areas, and repeated foot traffic can quickly create worn paths, especially in wet weather. We do ask guests to use the roadways and designated access routes rather than cutting across pitches.

We appreciate your comments about signage and will review whether this can be made clearer. Thank you for recommending us and for saying you would visit again.

Local attractions

You’ll certainly not have any trouble keeping the kids occupied. Head for the sandy beach in Bridlington (20 minutes’ drive), backed by amusement arcades, mini-golf courses and a swathe of pubs and cafés. For a more sedate day at the seaside, pack a picnic and walk along five-mile Filey Beach (10 minutes) and find a sheltered spot under the cliffs at Filey Brigg to sit and watch the waves. As well as the classic beach-side amusements on South Bay, Scarborough (15 minutes) has plenty of other family-friendly attractions: make a start in the wave pool at Alpamare UK waterpark, and progress on to the walk-through aquarium and penguin pool at SEA LIFE Scarborough. Wind up exploring the ramparts and 12th-century Great Tower at Scarborough Castle, standing on a headland with exceptional views over the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast. Turning inland, the chalk landscapes of the Yorkshire Wolds have walking and biking opportunities aplenty. Hike sections of the Yorkshire Wolds Way, or follow the circular Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route to visit historic Beverley Minster (three hours by bike) and the speciality delis in the foodie capital of Malton (one hour 50 minutes).
