  • Holiday park in 52 acres with views to Scarborough and the North Sea
  • Scarborough 10 minutes’ drive; North Yorkshire Water Park 15 minutes
  • Dog-friendly pitches; clubhouse open weekends for drinks
Set in 52 acres of private grounds and woodland, Lady Edith’s Holiday Park is a peaceful spot to lay your head down for the night close to North Yorkshire’s popular coastline. At 10 minutes’ drive from Scarborough, the site has views to the North Sea on one side and the North York Moors National Park on the other. Whether you’re seeking an adventure, a quick fun-filled break or a quiet getaway just for two, there’s plenty on site to help you on your way. Keep any kids occupied in the play area – cleverly sited opposite the picnic area so you can watch them as you grill up a gourmet treat. The clubhouse on site serves breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and barbecue food on Friday and Saturday evenings. There's also a bar on site, open on weekends, should you fancy a pint. Four-legged companions travelling with you? There are miles of woodland trails in which to exercise them – and that’s without even leaving the holiday park.

What customers say

This campsite is clean and friendly, with roomy pitches and helpful staff. Facilities, including a good kids' play area and popular bar, are mostly well-kept. Guests love its location for exploring Scarborough. Most found it great value and would return, though some noted occasional noise and basic pot wash facilities.

Powered gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Nothing, the whole site knew each other and were doing whatever they liked.
The kebab/pizza shop was good food, very reasonable.

Disliked This site was full of residential caravans, due to this we felt that nothing could be done about the things we disliked.
There were so many dogs that relentlessly barked, were tied up outside the caravans and left there all day to constantly bark.
As a touring couple this was not the site for us, like visitors were an unexpected occurrence.
There were 180 pitches and only 3 showers which were not the cleanest. You could tell that these were not used much as most people lived there permanently.
We ended up leaving after 2 nights as the constant noise levels and dog barking was unbearable

Powered grass tent campsite

Liked What a lovely site. Friendly helpful staff yet happy to leave you to it. Well organised and clean site with lovely flat grass and strong ground to peg into. We were a party of 4 tents and were allowed to camp together all facing each other. Brilliant. There is a take away onsite serving breakfast and later pizzas and kebabs etc. Very reasonably priced. Wish we'd left all our supplies at home. We indulged on the first night and all (10 of us) ordered different things. Fresh and delicious. The toilet/shower block were spotless. Always clean and rolls refilled. 20p for 2 minutes in the shower. No big deal. There is also a lovely bar. Proper treat. Also a nice kids playground. Next to the non electric pitch there is a great dog walk. It takes 10 minutes to drive to the seafront. Perfect.

Disliked Maybe suggest a toilet at the bottom of the electric field but we managed fine

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Lovely caravan and pitching site . We stayed as a family of 4 for 3 nights .

* We loved the clubhouse and bingo nights . Drinks reasonable. Staff friendly .
* Facilities handy and cleaned daily.
* Bellapizza done lovely food morning and night on a weekend which we really enjoyed and again reasonable priced .
* Great little walks to explore , forest or down at the lake .
*10 minute drive into Scarborough
*Fellow campers had a argument with another camper opposite them and this was quickly resolved by the park keeper leading to a peaceful night.

Disliked *No hot water for cleaning dishes which would of been better .
*A little shop would have been so handy for essentials we forgot .
* toilets kept unhygienic by other campers .. I mean you wouldn't not flush your toilet after going especially a number 2 .. so why do it when your on holiday and sharing Facilities with others 🤔.. it baffles me! (owners did come in on a daily basis .. but can't be their 24 hrs so it's not their fault )

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Staff were so helpful and friendly, the pitch was lovely no litter around great little bar onsite along with a playground suited at younger and older children this was also fenced which was a bonus for us with a little run away! Toilets/showers were lovely and clean!

Disliked Dishwashing services weren’t very good as we could never get hot water to wash dishes so had to use the kettle back at the tent.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Friendly owners - welcoming and advised best pitches.
Friendly staff in the bar.
Great camping field.. close to toilets / showers / water etc.
close to Scarborough..
Nice walks nearby.

Highly recommend and would return.

Disliked The only negative would be on other guests and perhaps having consideration for others after a certain time..

This is nothing against the site at all..

Powered grass tent campsite

Liked Site looked good. Pitch sizes were good. Well kept site with no rubbish around and grass kept tidy. Play area on site. Friendly staff who go round during the day to make sure people are doing okay.

Disliked Electric hook ups were extension leads across the gravel into splitters which powered like 6 tents per 1 hookup. This caused numerous tripping and hot extension leads near tents.

Noisy neighbour campers. Playing loud music and shouting until 1.30am and no one to come round to tell them to be quiet.

Local attractions

Lively Scarborough (10 minutes’ drive) has a couple of long sandy beaches divided up by a rocky headland topped by the ruins of the town’s 11th-century castle. Have a potter along the prom in South Bay, and then head over to North Bay for views of the town and seascape. Kids in tow? Make for Peasholm Park (five minutes) to hire a pedalo on the lake, play mini-golf or feed the cheeky grey squirrels with peanuts sold on site. And Scarborough’s not the only family seaside resort in the vicinity. Head to Bridlington (35 minutes) for amusement arcades, high-speed RIB cruises from the harbour and fish and chips on the prom. Filey (20 minutes) is the place for feeding chattering birds in Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park, or taking long strolls along the sweeping sandy beach. There are bracing hikes to be had along the white cliffs of Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast (35 minutes), or sections of the long-distance Cleveland Way (10 minutes). If the kids have still got too much energy after that, let them loose on the inflatable climbing course at North Yorkshire Water Park (15 minutes).
