Sea View Country Park

Liked Arrived at the site, everything looked new and neat, immaculately landscaped. We were let in through the security barrier and shown to our pitch. Unfortunately, our neighbours had parked their caravan the wrong way round and pinched our patch of grass! Straightaway, the site owner found us another pitch which was perfect.

On site, the toilet and shower facilities are very clean and inviting. Proper showers with a rainfall head and no annoying push button! There is a little cabin with a laundrette and a collection of games and dvds which can be borrowed. The whole site is well lit without being 'floodlit' so you don't need a torch to find the loo in the dark!

We travel with our little dog and were delighted to find there is a secure doggy park on site, complete with toys and activities.

The site location is very good, right by the beach, wonderful to hear the waves crashing in the near distance. Good access for walks, a little coffee shop nearby, people selling fresh eggs from their premises.

The village location is lovely and peaceful, the site welcomes families but there is no entertainment or noisy playground to disturb the peace (sorry kids!)

Disliked Only very minor issues, more a matter of personal taste.
1.The main road is a 60mph limit has a very narrow footpath - you feel a bit like you are dicing with death as traffic hurtles past your ears!
2. The site would really benefit from a little shop. We do travel well stocked but it's always nice to be able to pick up a few essentials and it's quite a way to the nearest store.

Liked Lovely , well kept site. Pitches well spaced and fully serviced . Welcoming staff, friendly and helpful. Lovely little dog field with some (used!) toys and water on tap , paddling pools , well enclosed. View over to the sea . Definitely a little gem .

Disliked Only downside to us was the distance to the beach -for people who struggle with walking it was too much. Yes, for us it was 15 minutes walk to the slope to the beach , to walk down the steep slope would have been too much . Shame -it looked a lovely beach! More suitable for fit people and caravanners who could drive to the beach ! The

Liked Absolutely loved it, can not fault anything about the place at all.

Toilet and shower block was spotless and so was the whole site.

The owner ( who's name is have forgotten, sorry) could not of been more helpful. As a lone camper without a car he popped by to check everything was ok and if I needed a lift to the supermarket. The campsite felt completely safe and didn't even bother to lock my door. Fantastic place and only a few minutes walk from the gorgeous beach.

Liked Great sight… Extremely clean… Terry & the staff go above and beyond to cover any needs… Short walk to a fantastic beach…. Take-away deliveries to the sight… Flat pitches….. Very quiet and tranquil…. We will return, even if it’s once a year…. Washing/shower facilities (so clean)… and clothes washing area…. Disability friendly…. Thanks…😎

Liked Lovely site, clean toilets and showers are great only short walk to beach. Can walk to Hornsea at low tide. Big spacious pitches. Sea view and across fields. Close to road but not noisy.

Liked Immaculate site. Large hard standing plots fully serviced.
Quiet with nice sea views.
Mappleton beach is stunning.

Disliked Shower block was small but beautifully kept. Only two WC in the male section but the showers were excellent.
5 minutes to the beach was a bit ambitious, more like 10/15 minutes down the main road.

Liked Absolutely stunning clean and spacious site with clean and tidy toilet and shower block ( male & female), there's a washing up area hosting 2 sinks with drainers.

The pitch was level and had ample space around and even had a double sided picnic bench.

This was our first time on this site and the staff were very helpful and even walked us over to our pitch.

There was zero noise and the site felt very relaxed and peaceful. The mobile phone signal was excellent for us on ID mobile.

We have 2 dogs and there is a dog friendly play area and this was brilliant!! Our 2 dogs loved going in there for a run about.

Walking into Hornsea was a matter of turning right off the site into Mappleton village just past the church then a left onto the stunning beach. Be aware the cliff top walk was very eroded/subsided and I wouldn't recommend going that way. (Nothing to do with Seaview site by the way)

We loved our stay at Seaview and can't wait to return.

Disliked We didn't stay here long enough.
