What customers say
A chill, no-frills campground with roomy, flat sites and solid amenities. Guests enjoyed the quiet vibe, clean washrooms, and helpful staff. It's a peaceful spot, close to town by nice walks. Some noted highway noise and basic showers. Good value, many would revisit.

Nice long weekend stay with family and friends.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked It's a small site with good amenities. The toilets and showers were clean. The location is nice, with three pubs in the village and a decent takeaway.
Disliked Felt a little on top of one another when full over the Bank Holiday weekend, but everyone was nice and friendly.

Clean and Convenient, but a Bit Too Crowded
Powered grass campsite
Liked Really useful information received on arrival day via WhatsApp for how to find the site and general rules and local amenities.
The site was very clean and had plenty of showers, which was a big plus. It’s easy to get to with good road links, and there was a designated area for play which was great for kids. It’s clearly a popular site, which added to the atmosphere and there were plenty of water points close by.
Departure time 11am was good as not rushed to pack up.
Disliked However, pitches felt crammed in, and it was very busy during our stay until the last day.
There was only one sink for washing up, and hot water was unreliable in the showers running hot then cold.
Although there are noise rules (Quiet time) after 8pm, they weren’t enforced, as it's up to groups to adhere to the request, which made evenings a bit noisy but that is family camping at a popular site.

Liked Lovely site , everything we needed for a few nights away . Toilets and showers and recycling facilities. Owners friendly and amazing we were able to have late check out . Walked along canal into a small village where there was 3 pubs but only one open , a butchers and a shop. Would return again.

Truly a back to basics site.
Powered grass campsite
Liked A very earthy basic facilities grass roots site. Absolutely no frills here, BUT, showers are good enough, toilets are adequate, (no queuing even though the site was full), they could do with a spring clean though. Pot wash area was fine. The location of the camping area is at the end of an old garden center track. The site is close to a couple of shops and pubs, 20min walk along the canal. The site owner, Rosa, is a very friendly and helpful person, she made sure we had all the information required for a stress free stay. The people staying on the site were friendly and engaging, no complaining as there isn’t much to complain about, there isn’t much there except for the pitches, facilities and a big field.
Disliked Not much but the facilities could do with a make over and getting the hot water supply back on at the sinks. Pot wash excepted.

Liked Lovely site with good size pitches. Toilet, shower and washing facilities close to all pitches. Great central location for where we needed to get to. Really good value for money, would recommend. Local takeaway delivers to site which is really helpful if you don’t want to cook. Nice quiet camping site.

Powered grass campsite
Liked The campsite was clean, well organised and the onsite staff were very friendly. The size of the pitch was good with the water tap and electricity hook up close by. The toilets were kept clean throughout the day and are not far from the pitches. The facilities are basic but clean and the washing up area has a little roof over it incase of bad weather. The location is good, close to some pubs and a shop as well as a short drive to some lovely parks.
Disliked The only thing I would say could do with an improvement on the site itself would be the shower curtains could do with being replaced, as they are white they were stained in a couple places.
