Primitive grass and earth tent campsite
Liked Zoë and Colin were absolutely great hosts and made us feel so welcome. My cousin and I are young and were treated so well and we really appreciate it. The campsite was beautiful and had a lovely atmosphere about it, surrounded by lovely woodland and nature. Facilities were flawless and there was a lot of thought and love put behind everything we had access to. We had an absolutely lovely time and I’ll definitely be back! ❤️

Primitive grass and earth tent campsite
Liked Lovely campsite with extremely spacious pitches.
Very clean shower and toilet a short walk from the camping field. An absolute bonus is the kitchen area with tea making facilities and a fridge.
In the camping field is an outdoor sink and a compost toilet. All very clean.
It is a fantastic area for cycling, lots of country lanes, nice villages and a few hills.
If you want to get away from it all, sit by the campfire at night and watch the stars, this is a beautiful place to stay.

Pitch was spacious with fire pit. Bathroom kept very clean and good shower with hot water. Good pub within short walk with good food. Local village also easily walkable. Good walks right from the camp site. Small number of pitches so never crowded.

Primitive grass and earth tent campsite
Liked Lovely camp site. Quiet and tranquil. Really friendly host, and great facilities.
Access to hot shower, inside and outdoor toilet, fridge.
Disliked Their policy on rubbish was clearly stated prior to our booking, so this isn't a complaint.
It is however quite awkward to take all rubbish home. Especially when travelling a fair distance. Having some bins available on-site would make the stay more comfortable.

From the manager: Thank you for your review Richard, I appreciate your comments and do understand the inconvenience of our rubbish policy. Unfortunately the rubbish policy came about after a group of youngsters left 2 full bin bags of rubbish including a large quantity of uneaten food and unopened packets, lots of glass and plastic, this waste upset me so much and I wanted to try to encourage campers to actually have LESS rubbish, thus on my information sheet given to campers I state that I will accept small bags of general rubbish as well as washed recyclables that can be left in the box in the garage. However following your review I will change my policy and have provided a dustbin for general rubbish.
Thank you. Zoe
