FHU grass campsite
Liked: Very warm welcome from lady in the onsite shop. Stunning location , acres and acres of beautiful countryside. Site is very well managed, focussed on limited number of pitches but lots of space and views. Clean facilities. The whole site seemed loved and I loved my stay. Ten minutes walk from fabulous pub, The Star.
Disliked: leaving!

Liked: Nice size pitch and almost level. Easy to find site and lovely friendly staff Lots of space if you have children although my family in the shepherds huts said the beds we’re not comfortable. Very clean toilet and shower facilities
Disliked: Several dogs running around loose. Would prefer if dogs were on leads unless supervised by their owners

From the manager: We have a policy that all dogs should be kept on a lead at all times!!

FHU grass campsite
Liked: Beautiful setting. Well kept pitches. Lovely walks in surrounding area and a fabulous pub nearby - The Star Inn. Good shop with very friendly shopkeeper.
Disliked: Thought we'd booked a superpitch but only even numbered pitches had water tap and waste outlet actually on the pitch. Pitches weren't very level - had to go up on chocks on one side. Only one men's toilet on the whole site!

From the manager: All 16 super pitches have have a hook up to electric, water, TV and grey water waste, there are eight double columns per every two pitches. Sorry but there are two toilets an urinal for the men.

Liked: This is a lovely site with lots of space and calming countryside. The pitches were well spaced with separate areas for kids to play. The toilets and showers were clean and tidy. There is a well stocked shop on site and an excellent pub is in walking distance. The woods and heathland nearby are beautiful.
Disliked: The site wasn’t strict enough with guests who let dogs off lead. Not everyone likes dogs and we had to pick up there dog mess on final day. No one from the site actually came to meet us , and we were there 5 days that’s poor. The lady in the shop was nice though.
