Poor in comparison with other sites and dirty toilets.
Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Pleasant, quiet area.
Disliked Prior to arrival we were emailed and advised that we were on pitch 11. On arrival, pitch 11 was a hard standing with a caravan already on it, so if we had have gone on that pitch we would have been a meter away from that caravan. There is no reception, so we phoned the site manager who arrived swiftly and said there had been a mistake and he directed us to the correct pitch. The water tap wasn’t working on the pitch and the neighbouring pitches, the water spurted out, so it was impossible not to get wet. The electric hook up wasn’t working, so we were advised to use the socket on the next pitch. During our stay the man on the next pitch advised us that he was metered for the hook up we were using, so he was being charged for the electric we were using. He spoke to the site manager to resolve this.
There was one shower, two toilets and a urinal. My partner used the toilet on the Friday afternoon, when he went over to the toilets the next morning, they hadn’t been cleaned and there was no toilet roll. This is completely unacceptable. Toilets should be cleaned regularly. When using the shower, the water didn’t drain away, so we were standing in about 4 inches of water.
The site needs a good tidy up in order to keep up with other sites. We won’t be going there again.
