Raring to go for a rural break in north Norfolk, with a little coast on the side? That’s no problem at NEPC Caravan and Camping Site. Based in a very quiet and rural north Norfolk field with horses for neighbours, hiking fans and those seeking the sand and seaside will be in their element. Take off on one of the walks directly from the site or map your way out to the miles of footpaths and trails in the local area. Where to? Well, perhaps Bacton Wood (10 minutes) for strolls and picnics or to the splendidly scenic North Walsham & Dilham Canal, 15 minutes’ drive away. The Norfolk Broads and Cromer are both around 20 minutes’ drive away too. Toilets and showers are available on site, so you'll have some simple facilities to use at the end of a day of adventures. Potter down to the closest pub, which is half an hour’s walk away, or track down tasty country pub eats, fish and chips and beer by the sea in Mundesley (10 minutes). There’s a butchers 15 minutes’ walk away for fresh meat and bistros and gourmet joints in the surrounding area too. North Walsham, five minutes’ drive away, is especially suited to foodies, as it has supermarkets, shops and cafés as well as a library and a bank. With all the walks and the outdoor activities around, dogs are welcome at NEPC Caravan and Camping Site (just keep them on a lead around livestock). Other very handy facilities on site include a chemical disposal point, wifi and grey water disposal points.

Liked Very quiet, small, secluded site. Big pitches, lots of space. Honesty box with delicious cakes, WiFi was great, I watched Netflix’s all night. Toilets and showers clean. I set up so my view was the fields.

FHU grass campsite (hot tub)

Liked The site is so peaceful and private. Lovely and quiet, great facilities for size of the site and the hot tub made it the perfect treat. We will definitely be back, thank you so much!

Disliked The road down is narrow just be aware, but the drivers we met were going slowly and moved out to the side for us.

Liked Easy site to find. You choose your own pitch depending on which type you have booked. Grass is well kept and cut regularly. Owners number is on your booking should you need to contact them. Nice quiet site, decent toilet and shower. Access road to the site off the main road is narrow, just be careful and you'll be fine.

FHU grass campsite (hot tub)

Liked Great basic site, shower was very warm and powerful! Having the hot tub was lovely. (Did get a bit dirty, but to be expected this time of year I guess)
We had two pitches and the other housed our niece (2) and our nephew (10) Nothing there for kids if you are going to stay on site, we didn’t but heads up to those who want playgrounds etc.

Not a far drive from the beach and other amenities.

We ate at a lovely pub only 15 minutes away - highly recommend Banningham Crown! Honestly best meal and service we’ve had in a long time!

Liked This site was really nice, the showers and toilets were always clean and tidy. It’s a really quiet area, and at the top of the campsite there’s a stand where you can get freshly made cookies and things we had a bueno cookie and it was gorgeous l.

Disliked I found it difficult to find the campsite off the main road.

Liked Everything,been coming each year and improving each time regards facilities,we had the hot tub pitch in our favourite corner which is a fabulous addition to the stay ,it's a quiet camping site the pitches are very generous in the countryside with great owners !

Local attractions

Straight off to the sea, you might very well be, with Cromer’s seaside amusements and pier (20 minutes’ drive) being so easy to get to. In August, Cromer hosts a carnival week and there are fireworks on New Year’s Day (weather permitting). Sheringham (half an hour) is excellent too, especially its fun pool, gardens and old-school North Norfolk Steam Railway. For wildlife encounters, head to the Cley Marshes Visitor Centre (40 minutes), near Cley next the Sea. Another spot is Blakeney (40 minutes), which has England’s largest grey seal colony. You might fancy a visit to the so-called capital of the Norfolk Broads, Wroxham (half an hour), where there’s daily boat hire, river trips, riverside cafés, pubs and shops. The city of Norwich (45 minutes), has a castle museum, a cathedral, excellent shopping, a theatre, art galleries, cafés, pubs and restaurants, of course. And what else? Perhaps the historical Blickling Hall (20 minutes) or family-friendly attractions like the Banham Zoological Gardens (an hour and 10 minutes), Wroxham Barns (20 minutes) craft centre and play park, Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure (40 minutes) and BeWILDerwood Norfolk (20 minutes)?
