What customers say
This low-impact campsite offers spacious, private pitches in a natural meadow. Guests praise the friendly, helpful owners, clean facilities, and nice touches like fire pits and a borrow-shed. Many enjoy the 'back to basics' vibe with cold showers and hand-pumped water for a peaceful, eco-friendly getaway. A few noted the showers could be warmer.

Liked It was so peaceful and easy. We loved having a fire under the canopy of the trees and plenty of room between campsites. Hosts were super friendly and having flushing toilets and running water was fantastic!

Meadow primitive grass campsite
Liked Peaceful, quiet , lots of space for tent pitch . Pitches cut for easy pitch up of tents the remainder of the meadow left to grow naturally ( a beautiful thing ). Toilets well lit up . Clean and easy to get too . Never used shower. Lovely little shop with items to buy or borrow. Lovely little seating areas to play chess or noughts and crosses . Friendly staff , sold me wood and gave me firelighters to start my fire . Water accessible . Highly recommend camp site .

Powered grass campsite (woodland)
Liked It's a really lovely and spacious site.
We booked a woodland pitch which comes with it's own picnic bench, and we was given flexibility on putting our tent in or out of the woods. There was also a free to borrow fire pit, grill rack and frying pan waiting for us.
The Meadow itself is exactly as described, with really good sized pitches circled around a wild grass field that is great for little campers to explore. We saw loads of bats and frogs too.
Communal area: I wasn't sure if me and my family would cope with the no hot water, no running showers, no frills part of this but the owners have thought of everything and worked really hard to make back to basic so easy. All utilities were kept consistently clean and any waits for the toilets or washing up were minimal. The little hut is stocked with everything you can think of that you'd need to borrow, and more things you didn't know you need. With the surrounding trees wrapped in fairy lights, the whole area is really very pretty.
Camp owner was very friendly and helpful ✨️
