  • Rural off-grid bell tents on a working arable farm in Cambridgeshire
  • A 35-minute drive from Thetford Forest Park; 50 minutes from the coast
  • Barbecue and picnic table provided; access to basic kitchen facilities
Bridge Farm Bell Tents is a real rural treat. Part of a working arable farm, this dog-friendly site not without its little comforts though. Aside from the natural calmness that comes with wildlife, open skies and the copse of young trees with countryside views, the bell tents here are furnished with a double bed, two futon chairs (for children only), cushions and a splash of colour from the mats. Outside, you’ll be well-readied to wind down in the evening, as there’s a gas barbecue, picnic table and chairs. The site’s trailer has a portable chemical toilet and basic washing facilities (but no shower), as well as a storage area and basic kitchen facilities so you can get cooking. Parking here is in the farmyard, approximately 10 minutes’ walk away from the pitches along a pretty grass track and over a field. Don’t worry, though, there will be friendly faces to greet you and transport your bags. Those of you on a family holiday may want to request a blow-up bed or cot for a third child. But whether you’re here as a group or on a romantic break with your partner, this is a quiet place to go with village shops, bakers, butchers, takeaways and a post office under 10 minutes’ drive away – in either Outwell or Upwell – and a popular farm shop and butchers within the same distance of the site for some tasty local produce.
