  • Adults-only site surrounded by Worcestershire countryside
  • Droitwich Spa 20 minutes’ drive; Worcester 25 minutes
  • Well-behaved dogs welcome; just over a mile from the nearest pub
Located halfway between Worcester and Redditch (25 minutes’ drive to either), Church Meadow Campsite is a small, peaceful and adults-only site surrounded by arable fields and splendid Worcestershire countryside. ‘Peaceful’ is very much the operative word here – not only because this rural spot is blissfully quiet, with just a soundtrack of wildlife and the occasional neigh from the horses that live nearby, but also because Church Meadow caters exclusively to adults. (Though well-behaved dogs are also welcome.) Well-maintained facilities on site include showers and toilets; there's no loo roll, so please remember to bring your own. You're welcome to set up a firepit too, just as long as you purchase the logs and firepit on site. The site is in the sleepy village of Dormston, which is home to a pretty, historic church. A carp fishing lake and a traditional pub serving food (including a full English breakfast) are both just over a mile away (a five-minute drive or a 25-minute walk), while other amenities, including spots to pick up groceries, are on hand in nearby Inkberrow (five minutes). This part of the country isn’t short on stunning scenery, whether you fancy jaunts to National Trust properties like Hanbury Hall (15 minutes), the historic town of Droitwich Spa (20 minutes) or heritage villages like Broadway (30 minutes), at the northern end of the Cotswolds National Landscape. Church Meadow is also easy to reach, being just a few miles from the M5.

Power optional cement/asphalt and grass campsite

Liked We had a lovely two night stay.

There were only two toilets and a shower which we were worried about considering the amount of pitches but I have to say they were so cleanest toilets that we have had at a campsite. The shower was great with no push on off. Lovely hot water and good pressure.
Good pubs a short drive away or longer walk.

We were able to walk the dogs to a footpath then onto lovely fields.

Disliked A nosy van talking loudly until at least 4am. Not the campsites fault.

Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked The site was very quiet and I enjoyed the shade in the afternoon and evening. Ben was quick to respond when called and very helpful. The toilets were spotless and not far from my pitch. It was handy to be able to walk my dog on the PROW next door.

I was perfectly happy to provide my own loo roll and if guests had been pinching it I would do the same as Ben

I felt safe on the site

Power optional cement/asphalt and grass campsite

Liked A real goog campsite just relax, left alone just do what you want (Just stay within the camp rules, and have respect for all others on the site, and for those who live near) The owners are great they are really helpful, shoud you require anything they say just call. This is ture, as we lost our hook-up cable I phoned the owner and asked "if they had a cable that we could borrow, a short while latter Ben (the owner) came and lent us the correct cable for our needs.
Note: They do have nice new and clean toilets and shower [NB: see the photos at the bottom of this page taken and uploaded by `Danny` another happy camper this year]

Disliked Shoping without a car really only leaves you with a garage, and they charge what they want,. Then we where told by another about a shop `Simle fresh` just turn left when you come out of the camp, turn left down the lane, left again at the main road, just 5-6 mins by car However we walked it. NOTHING to dislike about the campsite, per se!

Power optional cement/asphalt and grass campsite

Liked Quiet & peaceful site.

Disliked Only one shower, which was uncontrollable, going from warm to scalding then freezing without notice.
Only two toilets, one of which was in the shower cubicle. No toilet roll. No toilet brush. No washing up facilities.

Power optional cement/asphalt and grass campsite

Liked Good sized pitches, very quiet campsite and location. The campsite itself was clean, it was set in a lovely location with a couple of pubs (soon to be three) within a 30-40 minute walk or a few minutes drive. It is worth noting that one of the pubs, Toast, has an Indian Takeaway in the beer garden. For walking and cycling, turn right out of the campsite, turn right again at the end of the road and you will find yourself in some very quiet lanes.

Disliked Nothing

Power optional cement/asphalt and grass campsite

Liked Good communication from owner for check in, lots of space around the pitches, toilets and shower in excellent condition, gate was locked between someone entering and exiting which was great piece of mind. Easy access water points made this easy.

Disliked Lack of signal until last night there! But not sure that can really be helped…

Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Ben was very friendly. Excellent price.
Loved the flexibility of arrival and departure times.
Our grass pitch was nicely grassed and had a decent amount of space.
Located close to Worcester.
Shower & loos beautifully clean.
Elson point well equipped with an actual flushing loo instead of a horrid hole. Water tap, hand sanitiser and spray cleaner too!
Liked how quiet it was.
Liked saying hi to the sheep, saw some green woodpeckers and finches....

Random bloke driving round the field directly behind our tent on an electric bike provided entertainment.

Our plan was to go walking each day, but due to the heat we couldn't.

Disliked A lot of the ground had holes, which I was told by a frequent visitor, are where the ground has dried out. It make walking round a bit tricky. My friend rolled her ankle but not badly.

1 loo & shower cube and 1 loo, I think with a full site would cause queues, but as it wasn't full, it wasn't a problem this time, about 1/4 capacity.

My friend thought there should be a communal washing up sink. Even if it was a stand along with cold water.

No meadow as per name & photos, my friend felt a bit enclosed as there was just the bordering trees and hard standing to look at.

Elson she'd didn't appear to have a light.
