What customers say
Spacious, peaceful site with large, level pitches & handy location. Friendly staff & clean facilities (showers, toilets, freezer access) often praised. Recurring issue: not enough toilets, or not clean enough when busy. Basic facilities & limited shower times noted. Many would return.

Liked TJ the site manager was super friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. The field was well kept , clean, and clear area for toilets and showers.
Loved the garden centre cafe on the other side of the trees, and pub just a few minutes drive. Will return!

Everything you need
Primitive grass campsite
Liked We previously stayed 2 years ago and was pleasantly surprised to see the facilities were upgraded. More toilets and showers, a proper washing up station and drinking water available. New waste disposal was there as well now. Everything you need. Was previously a one night stay kind of campsite for us but now with the new facilities we will be coming back for longer stay. Water was hot. Drinking water in the morning was nice and cold which was great as it’s been a heatwave while we stayed. The field is great quality. When staying in a tent you do notice the difference in field quality as silly as that sounds. Host were really friendly, we love a campsite where the people running it are chatty and come make sure everything if going okay multiple times while we’re staying there.
Disliked Facilities were a little messy but that’s down to the people staying there. It’s not hard to take a few seconds to clean up after yourselves at the washing up area and in the toilets. Basic camping etiquette and I saw people were not being respectful of the shared facilities.

What a hidden gem!
Primitive grass campsite
Liked What an absolute little treasure Hatton Campsite truly is.
We stayed last weekend with our extended family & honestly could not compliment the site enough. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, natural & beautifully real, exactly what a countryside escape should be.
The entire site was absolutely immaculate & so clearly cared for with pride. Every area was kept perfectly, blending so beautifully into nature whilst still feeling welcoming, safe & comfortable. It had such a lovely atmosphere throughout our stay.
The facilities were exceptional. The toilets were spotless at all times, the showers were perfect & everything felt incredibly well maintained & thoughtfully looked after.
What truly made the experience even more special though was the team. Every single member of staff we met was so warm, friendly & genuinely helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble & they were an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish.
A very special mention has to go to TJ, the site warden, who was simply wonderful. What an absolute pleasure it was to meet both him & his family. You could genuinely feel the kindness, care & pride he has for the campsite. People like TJ are what make places truly memorable. He went above & beyond to make everyone feel welcome & relaxed, & his warmth and dedication did not go unnoticed.
You can really feel the care, passion & hard work that goes into this site & it honestly makes all the difference. In a world where so many places feel commercialised or rushed, Hatton Campsite felt authentic, peaceful & full of heart.
A real hidden gem in nature & somewhere we will absolutely be returning to very soon.
Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
Disliked NONE! Honestly nothing! Not one single moan from us! The only thing that would make Hatton even better would be hook-ups, & a little wifi so I can work & play & stay a little longer
oh, & may be the swim school on site, opening it pool to campers in the evening, would be a lovely addition

Primitive grass campsite
Liked We booked Hatton after needing a pitch to attend Farm Fest. We booked late due to worriying about the reviews, but please do not let these put you off. You're camping not attending the Kings Tea party! Rang the site and they very kindly let us come onto the pitch early so we hadn't got the caravan to drag around the countryside. So TJ the Campsite warden is fantastic!! Kids really testing on how fast he could get an item for them, glue stick, was one their item of choice, and by some miracle, he appeared with some. Easy access with twin wheel caravan. Shops and garden centre and absolutely picturesque. We would 100% recommended and return. Thanks for making our holiday so amazing. 4 children under 12yrs and we don't get away being farmers, so this was amazing. 😀

Liked Large pitches with plenty of choice
Disliked Unfortunately toilet and shower facilities were pretty dirty, and smelt bad, no real care taken to improve them or even clean them at all. No warden around to check in either.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked It was a nice big plot. The garden centre and coffee shop was lovely to have on site. There's also an escape room and family farm, but we didn't have time to go to those. The toilets and shower block were nice. Would come back!
Disliked It was difficult to see where to go when we arrived. The wardens were difficult to identify and it was unclear as to what pitch to use especially the first time staying there, but everything was good after that was sorted out.
