What customers say
Family-run farm with great views, especially of The Roaches. Friendly owners, well-stocked shop. Lots of space, allows campfires, good for walks. **BUT:** toilet/shower facilities are often basic, limited, and poorly maintained. Good value for money, many would return.

Liked It was mine & my children’s first time at camping with our tent box. We had no clue and winged it and it turned out the best weekend we all loved it. We will definitely be returning its quiet and friendly. Lots of the children to see the animals are beautiful and the views are stunning.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked It is a beautiful farm with nice animals like horeses, donkeys, goats, cows. And a peacful lake.
Disliked Unfortunately, the stay was ruined by disruptive behavior at night. A group of young men were smoking weed, shouting, and playing loud music until around 2 a.m. It was impossible to get any rest. There was no visible management or enforcement of quiet hours, making the experience stressful and exhausting. Not the peaceful retreat I was hoping for.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked The staff were very friendly, the views were amazing, lovely farm shop, great pitch. Plenty of toilet roll. Clean facilities.
Disliked Could do with another toilet and the skip was absolutely full to the rafters by the end of the weekend but didn’t effect our trip.

From the manager: Thank you for your review, much appreciated - extra toilets coming soon as we have not long finished building the new septic tank to accommodate - skip people were supposed to come last week & replace, but never turned up, coming this week now

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked Great site, good size no crowding. Clean basic facilities. Amazing well stocked farm shop on site. AND no early checkout so you can have a lie in the day you leave! Making it a full weekend for us. Loved it. Fantastic lady running the place. Animals to see. Ice creams. Fire pits. Everything we wanted. Oh and a fishing lake on site too!
Disliked Could have done with a couple more toilets

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked Friendly donkeys, horses, calf’s, working farm so nice to pet them! I heard good things about the milkshake but I didn’t try one. Farm shop!
My fave thing was the fishery. So nice to camp so close to water- you could amble around it, and at dusk it was magical with birds, fish moving, semi wild horses etc. got that insignificant feeling which I seek camping! Could take picnic there too. Can’t swim in it.
Near to so many amazing sites if drive.
Farm noises and animal noises great.
View of the roaches, with beautiful sunset
Disliked No footpaths or hikes from campsite, again there’s lots drivable. But again only personally, I quite like ditching van and moseying. Tried to walk to local pub to read book, but walk was only on main roads.
1 medium field for camping. As result, awareness of other campers, smaller space between pitches. More fields like in other sites would help get that remote wild feel- but again it’s a working farm!
Maybe it was busy but little bit more claustrophobic.
£2.50 feels expensive for shower and had to book time slot in shop. But very affordable base camping rate.
