  • Quiet holiday park beneath Wenlock Edge in Shropshire countryside
  • Museum of The Gorge 20 minutes’ drive; Shrewsbury Abbey 25 minutes
  • Dog walks and fishing ponds on the site; pubs 10 minutes’ drive
Tucked beneath the Wenlock Edge escarpment in stunning Shropshire countryside, Mill Farm Holiday Park is a farm site with a peaceful location in mature parkland. It’s surrounded by open farmland where you can (hopefully) spot an abundance of wildlife, and 20 minutes’ drive from the plethora of displays and attractions at the award-winning Museum of The Gorge. This peaceful, family-run spot has touring pitches with laundry facilities and a shower block, plus a recreation room, pong-pong tables and a bowling green to keep everyone on their toes. The pitches have direct access to lots of dog walks as well as well-stocked carp-fishing pools – if you’re not an angler, you can feed the fish instead – and the site also makes a handy base for walkers (the Jack Mytton Way and Shropshire Way both pass within about 10 minutes’ walk), cyclists and birdwatchers. You can also go horse riding from the stables right opposite the site entrance. There are pubs in the pretty village of Much Wenlock (10 minutes’ drive), and should you need a supermarket, Shrewsbury (25 minutes) has got you covered.
