Liked: This was our first time staying here and we've got to say, we have found our new favourite site. Chris was such a great host, nothing was too much trouble for him. He never stopped from morning to night, he was out and about making sure everyone was happy and had everything they needed, even made the time to stop and have a chat with you. The site had everything we wanted. Great pitches to choose from, Lakeside, forest or meadow field. 2 good size fishing lakes to choose from. My husband was happy with the fishing, he fished the specimen lake and had common and mirror carp out. Lots of places to walk with our dog. We stayed on a forest pitch, and loved the experience. Each pitch has an enclosed fire pit and you can buy the wood from the shop. The shop also has a small selection of essentials, ice creams and fishing bait. This is a great place to come and relax and recharge the batteries. Can't wait to come back for another stay. Our son in law came over for a couple of days to fish and brought our grandson. He loved the play area and climbing trees and made friends with other children staying. Everyone was very respectful of each other. There are basic toilet and shower blocks which were always kept clean and a charging point to recharge power banks. Well done to the team, you're doing a great job. See you all soon, Tammy & Andy

Liked: We absolutely loved every minute of our stay at Oaklands its such a beautiful place and the guys who run it made us feel so welcome and nothing was to much trouble. I stayed with my son and his uncle also had a pitch next to ours in the forest which was nice my partner joined us for one night to do some fishing with our son and they opened up the bait shop for us and gave us lots of advice and information I don't recall the guys name who run the place but he was super nice & friendly and liked a good joke too .We had so much fun and I would like to thank you for making us feel so welcome we came away with the best memories. we can't wait to return hopefully in may and over the 6 weeks holidays
Disliked: I cant really think of anything if I had to be picky the toilets are a bit of a walk a night depending where you are but it didn't bother us to much if anything it was fun walking though thw forest at night lol o and no WiFi but we didn't want or need the Internet We pre download a few movies to watch at night :) it was nice to have 5 days off from the world !

Liked: Our usual spot in the woods, tidy and quiet. Clean toilets nearby. My son really enjoyed the air rifle shooting, Richard was very helpful as well as the other man we spoke to who came to see how we were doing twice (sorry I don't know the name!). Lovely walks.
Disliked: Nothing.
