Spellbound Glamping has a collection of top-quality glamping units spread over a spacious site in the Cotswolds near Chipping Norton. With 10 acres of woodland and 12 acres of fields to explore, this natural hideaway also backs onto a stream that leads to the river Evenlode, where swimming, canoeing and paddleboarding are all up for grabs. Look out for deer, owls, woodpeckers and red kites as you stay at this rural spot – or when exploring the local area as you take to the two immediately accessible footpaths that are part of the gorgeous Oxfordshire Way. Back at base, outdoor activities like pétanque, badminton and football are all possible, or you could just kick back in one of the hammocks and outdoor beanbags with a good book. Each tent has its own kadai bowl for barbecuing food, with a hotplate and warming rack. Gas stoves are also available in the camp kitchen, as are kettles for your morning tea and coffee. The tents also have solar-powered charging packs for mobile devices, a coolbox and access to warm showers and eco-friendly composting toilets. As you'll have gathered, this is a very self-contained place, but for anything else, you're a five to 10-minute walk from Charlbury's high street, shops and railway station.
