What customers say
A popular, secluded wild camping spot. Reviewers love the peaceful atmosphere, spacious pitches, and beautiful lake. Basic facilities, but campfires and unspoiled nature are big draws. Access tracks can be tricky.

Lakeside primitive grass and earth tent or RV campsite
Liked Absolutely stunning location, so peaceful. The spaces ensure you have privacy from others. We pitched right next to the lake and it was heaven. Great for the dog to be able to explore without restrictions.

Liked Love what has become our usual spot with the little bank beach bit. Been coming for the past 5 years now.
Plenty of space and the locked gate.
Disliked Not as private as usual with very visible neighbours on the lake side with caravans.

Liked The space between the pitches was great and the scenery was fab.
the Staunton Arms was about 1 mile away.
a nice walk for the dogs all round the lakes.
very peaceful.
you need to be self contained to stay here, no facilities at all.
Disliked there was a portaloo which was not advertised, however this was desperate for a service. this would of been a nice added extra if it was not reminiscent of a last day festival portaloo.
the road in was ok for us however if you have a low profile car, be careful on the tracks.

All round brilliant. Will return soon.
Lakeside primitive grass and earth tent or RV campsite
Liked Loved everything about that place. We had the so much space around and it was so peaceful. Got greeted by Alan and his friend Roger and taken to the place. We was right by the lake, we did paddle boarding and the kids swam in the lake.
Where we stayed the toilets were a bit far but we didn't have a problem with that. If you want relaxing and a view this is the place.
