What customers say
Great location, quiet site with a friendly owner. Flat pitches, clean portable toilets, and good wildlife spotting. Some found it pricey for limited facilities (no showers). Road/train noise mentioned for light sleepers. Check directions carefully.

Primitive grass and gravel tent or RV campsite
Liked There is nothing in the blurb for the site that is untrue but this not a canal side site. Easy 0.5mile walk to local pub which served 2 good ales but badges itself as a canal side inn but it’s the old railway hotel alongside the main East Coast Mainline.
Trains are fast and frequent especially in the late afternoon and evening but it was quiet all night or I just slept through them!!
Disliked Price was a bit steep for a single unit considering the amenities available. It’s just a field with a portaloo. The water tap seemed to be the same one used to water the horses in the adjacent field and the end of the hose pipe was in a bucket of particularly green water. I’d suggest moving it from the horse field fence as there is nothing to stop the horses licking the tap and/or hose. A tee off into the main site would be preferable even if it was near the toilet.

Great Basic Campsite amongst nature. Simply the best.
Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked I liked the basic campsite that was easy to find. The gate was bolted at night and I overlooked a field with horses and in the evening watched nature at its best in the field. Rabbits playing, horses, butterflies and much more.
The portaloos were clean and there was a tap for drinking water.
5 minutes away was The Grand Union canal which I walked alongside and saw the boats moored there and a marina. It was beautiful.
I’ll definitely be going back. Thank you.

Primitive grass and gravel tent or RV campsite
Liked Flat.
Nearest location for a visit to care home I had to visit.
Disliked Portaloos x 2 no water in 1 & needed a good clean considering very little foot traffic (me & one other small family). Self cleaned to a degree.
Expensive for a 1 person tiny backpacking tent considering the sparce facilities
Really disliked trains every few minutes early morning, really quite loud n close.
Handy loation

Primitive grass and gravel tent or RV campsite
Liked The positives of the camp site were how easy it was to get in and out. Didn’t need to phone anyone for the code which was good.
Disliked The toilet facilities were a portaloo in the feild, I couldn’t find any showers (didn’t look too hard and unsure if this campsite have them) overall it did the job for one night
