Tucked in-between the rural villages of Lower and Upper Boddington in Northamptonshire, Coleman’s Hill Certificated Location is a tiny Caravan and Motorhome Club members-only campsite with easy access off a hard-standing track for touring caravans and motorhomes. Mature trees surround the (slightly sloping) grass pitches, which sit on the brow of a hill with spectacular views over fields and valleys. Sheep graze in the neighbouring paddocks and bridleway rambles direct from the camping meadow lead you to Boddington Reservoir (half an hour’s walk) – great for exercising the family and any accompanying canines. From this quiet haven 15 minutes’ drive from Daventry, you can strike out on day trips to Warwick Castle (35 minutes) and book Shakespeare plays at Stratford-upon-Avon (45 minutes); alternatively stay closer to base camp and venture no further than the two local pubs within 15 minutes’ walk. If you’re sticking with self-catering, there’s a convenience store at Byfield, five minutes’ drive away, for picking up bits for your barbecue. Facilities-wise, each spacious pitch is serviced with water and a grey water disposal point; there is a shared chemical toilet disposal point and a general waste bin, as well as a washing-up sink, flushing toilets, showers and an outdoor bath in a wooden cabin at the edge of the field.

Liked Great site! Waste and cold water at each pitch. Well spaced out with a great view. Washing up area and chemical disposal point. (There is a shower and toilet, but didnt use as self contained). Friendly owner. Felt safe as gated and tucked away.

Liked We liked everything about this beautiful little site nestled on the hillside with fantastic views all around. We especially liked the tranquility and the facilities there such as the self service bar which eevn has a coal burner in it and a o good bit of indoor pace for those in camper vans so there is a good bit of extra space availble and very well though out! Jim our host was most welcoming when we arrived, we couldn't have asked for more!

Liked Lovely small site with nice views with the use of a fire pit and comfy seating overlooking the views.
Loved the quirky shower and toilet block

Disliked Not really a dislike but a suggestion ..Sign on gateway easy to miss maybe need bigger signage as road wouldn't be easy to turn caravan around

Liked What a fab little site! Great views and very peaceful. Facilities were clean and shower was lovely and hot. Great to have water tap next to van. Jim was very welcoming and helpful. Stayed here while I was working at Silvertsone, very convenient location. Can't recommend enough!

There’s lots of outdoor activity to be had in the local area: go fishing at Stockton Reservoir (20 minutes’ drive), or hire dinghies from Banbury Sailing Club (five minutes) to get out onto Boddington Reservoir. If you’re looking for a dog-friendly walk, consider Badby Woods (15 minutes), especially pretty when the bluebells are out in spring. Kids with you? Jump in the car and head for Warwick Castle (35 minutes), where you can mash-up history and family fun watching raptor displays, getting lost in the Horrible Histories Maze and watching jousting competitions. Take them to see Shakespeare’s Birthplace and his tomb at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon (45 minutes), or book family-friendly story-telling sessions at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Too heavy on the culture? Petrol-heads can book tickets for classic car rallies and track days at Silverstone Circuit (35 minutes), or feast their eyes on hundreds of vintage models at the British Motor Museum (half an hour).
