What customers say
This campsite gets kudos for its amazing forest setting, right on trails for walking and cycling, with tons of wildlife like deer. Folks rave about the friendly staff, clean amenities, and roomy spots. It’s usually chill, though it can get lively. Showers are clean and hot, but some say they’re a bit old-fashioned. Cell and Wi-Fi can be spotty due to the remote area. Some sites are a bit sloped.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Great location. Mountain bike trails and walks right from the camp. Pubs nearby. Town 5 min drive away. Shop and facilities so everything you need. Would stay here again.
Disliked Showers were great, though very hot. When busy was a challenge finding a flatish spot in the non electric field.

Great spot would camp here again.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Great spot for biking, hiking, bbq and not far away from other activities. On site facilities were decent and kept clean regularly. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Disliked Sloped. Most of the tent spots are sloped... which means things (including you while you sleep) are constantly sliding towards the bottom. Some might find this fun. It was a mild annoyance at worst.

Powered grass campsite
Liked A great spot for camping amongst the forest with lots of walks. A warm welcome from friendly, helpful staff. A large site with activities taking place for children. A pizza van was very popular. Lots of showers and toilets which were kept clean. A freezer was provided for your ice blocks, just give a donation to charity. We had a lovely 2 night stay.
Disliked Be careful, the showers are extremely hot.
