What customers say
This quiet, roomy campsite gets top marks for friendly hosts, great views, and a prime location. Visitors loved the clean washrooms, handy honesty shop, and lots of space for kids to run. While mostly great, a few suggest more washrooms in peak times and noted minor issues with field slopes and signs. Recommended for a chill, no-frills camping trip.

Liked Excellent Location! Great views from the top corner of the field. Easy to locate - lovely little wooden hut where you can purchase various items. Felt very secure and safe.
Owner was very informative and advised me of where the best place was to drive onto the field. Field was easy to pitch tent on too, always a bonus.
Toilet was pristine! Handwash basin, handwash and towel were also a lovely touch. Great to have an outdoor sink near the toilet too - don't forget your torch though!
Views from the Field in the morning (and at night) were picturesque - showing off the Great British Countryside. Can't fault this place. Would stay again in a heartbeat - Thank you!

Local to the A52 Derbyshire
Visited as a couple with 3 senior pugs + trailer. Lovely quiet site, warm welcoming host, lovely surroundings and bonus of amazingly stocked on site honesty shop and brilliant toilet facility. We loved it here and will be returning without a doubt.
Disliked Difficult to find at first - on the same site as the cattery.
Very sloped site, rutted in places and very long grass. Not an issue for us though!

Perfect for wild camping
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked We were so pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a place. Last minute booking and it couldn’t have been better. We wanted somewhere quiet, not too busy and beautiful. The little toilet was spotless and there’s a water tap on the field. We walked to the local pub for dinner and hired a fire pit. Definitely recommend for wild camping. The owner was really helpful and speedy when we needed anything but also just left you to it. Perfect, thank you!

Great quiet site
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Wonderfully peaceful campsite, it was great to have the option to pitch up where we liked. It was great to have a proper toilet and sink. The little hut 'shop' was lovely and convenient too. Nice countryside feel to the whole place. Owners were friendly and greeted us straight away when we arrived and contacted them. Would absolutely visit again!

Although it has a toilet and sink facility we loved this campsite…
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Although it has a toilet and sink facility we loved this campsite for it's "wild camping" feel with nothing but open fields around and beautiful views and walks. You can hire their fire pits and purchase the wood which is great so you don't have to take your own adding to your luggage. Check out time is 4pm which we loved as we had a stroll to Bartlewood Lodge for breakfast walking through the fields behind. For £18 per night this is an absolute steal. Will definitely be returning and recommending.
