Pitches with spectacular peak district views
View from the site

  • Simple and peaceful country site in the Peak District National Park
  • Views of Curbar Edge; Chatsworth House 15 minutes’ drive
  • Modern facilities with a shared kitchen; livestock in adjoining fields
When you feel the need to surround yourself with the hills and valleys of Derbyshire’s Peak District National Park, it’s probably time to get booked in at Cherry Blossom Farm. This splendid pop-up spot certainly has dramatic views of Curbar Edge, but it also has a huge field where you can spread out, a modern facilities block (don’t expect a power shower as the water is pumped uphill to reach the site) on the edge of the pitches, and a basic communal kitchen where you can prep food under cover if the weather’s not looking too great. Other things going for this site include an easy approach off a quiet country lane (you won’t hear any traffic noise here), livestock grazing in the fields, stroll-able access to a decent local pub (10 minutes’ walk, be prepared for a slog back uphill on the return journey), and scenic Peak District walks straight from your pitch.

If you’re looking for another reason to start packing and head for Cherry Blossom Farm, how about this? The site is near one of the filming locations for ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’. You can see where the epic train scene was shot at Darlton Quarry in Stoney Middleton (five minutes’ drive).

What customers say

Cherry Blossom Farm is a quiet, scenic getaway with amazing valley views and classic camping. Guests love the new, clean facilities, hot showers, and well-equipped wash-up area. The steep drive is mentioned, but the peaceful vibe, kind owners, and goats add to a relaxing visit. Minor toilet issues were noted but seem fixed.

Liked This is a lovely pop up site with amazing views, close to a small village with a pub, nice walks from camp, toilet block and showers. Field is only gently sloping and owners are very friendly and helpful.

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked Beautiful views, tranquil site.

Disliked (Predictably) The field was very wet so we (and everyone else) struggled to get the camper out……going to be a bit churned up if they’re staying open for winter.
Facilities are basic……but 1 unisex Toilet just isn’t enough (even for the occupancy in November).

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Beautiful site, owners very available. Kitchen was a huge luxury especially as the time of year meant we struggled for light and the weather was a bit hit and miss. Waking up to sunrise across the hills made up for the cold.

Disliked They were having some issues with showers and plumbing at the time of our stay. Owners very much present and trying to resolve. Probably some work needed but clearly being addressed.

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked Nice and quiet, clean facilities and some cute goats to see!

Disliked Not a dislike for the campsite. More a warning for slow old van owners like myself, the hill up to the site is very steep
