What customers say
This new site gets top marks for spotless, well-kept facilities like hot showers & eco-toilets. Guests loved the nice extras like welcome treats & dog stuff. Peaceful spot with great views, close to local sights, and lots of room to play outside. Owner's friendly, helpful vibe is a big plus. A few mentioned the nearby road and yurt practicality.

Good shower and facilities.
1 bedroom bell tent
Liked The tent was gorgeous but the location for the glamping tents is not good.
Disliked The noise from the road is awful. The tent is positioned next to a very busy road and heavy goods vehicles drive past all night. The bell tent shakes and is lit up by headlights.

From the manager: I’m so sorry the camping life isn’t for you.
As it’s the start of harvest time there are tractors and combines using the road to access their fields during the day as we’re in a rural farming area.
The road is not very busy but as there is no other noise when a car occasionally passes during the night if you are a very light sleeper you may briefly hear it.
Unfortunately tents are not sound proof, nor pitch black.
We have taken on board your comments and have provided earplugs in all tents for light sleepers just in case there’s wind, a disgruntled owl, loud rabbit or the occasional car passing.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Easy to book and find the location
Disliked I do not like the doors that are used on the showers and Toilet there is no privacy on them, anyone can basically see you from the entire frame around the door being a gap, made me feel uncomfortable, I know solar shower but would of liked it a bit strong water pressure.

From the manager: Thank you for your comments. I will address the tiny gap you are referring to in the toilets. However the showers already have a door and shower curtain.
As for the power of the showers they are off grid and work exceptionally well.

1 bedroom bell tent
Liked We loved it at Clover Meadow Farm! My families first camping experience together and it was perfect! The bell tent was a great way to ease the kids into the camping lifestyle with its cosy beds and home touches. Extremely clean facilities and warm showers made the trip that little bit easier for the kids and they had the best time! It’s in the perfect location for day trips while relaxing and playing in the field and tent made great evening entertainment. Our host Kathy couldn’t have been more accommodating and was always on hand to answer any questions. She also makes amazing cake and has really thought about creating a home from home for her guests. We would highly recommend Clover Meadow farm for anyone and can’t wait to return!
Disliked More advisory, take earplugs camping! The weather was not on our side for the first night.

Liked Lovely tent and area. Easy to find with clear instructions.
Very new and clean.
Toilets clean and functioning perfectly.
Disliked The tents are near the road so any fast moving traffic (it's mostly not busy) is pretty loud.

Family friendly camping trip, with luxury bell tents!!
1 bedroom bell tent
Liked Absolutely everything 😍
The beautiful gestures of cake on arrival, teddy keying for the children, and fresh water in an ice box! 💚
The showers were exceptionally clean, and hot too 😍.
Toilets were clean too and the lovely owner was there in the morning cleaning away, and very polite and chatty.
The location was perfect, we went out and did activities int he day and then chilled in the evening, there was lots of open space to play outdoor games with our little girl. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely come again 😍😍😍

Lovely aesthetic but not practical
1 bedroom bell tent
Liked Loved the small touches, things like dog treats, cookies and a keyring. So thoughtful.
Disliked Its difficult as the Yurt is lovely however there are some practical things missing.
The first is that you are next to a main country road, people speeding during the night ruined the vibe. It would be safer if the yurts were at the other side of the field.
Its dog friendly however I would reccomend a fence or some sort of safety for dogs when staying in the yurts with the dangerous road very close by.
The lights in the yurts were lovely but not practical.
Another thing was there were no shelves in the shower to put your belongings on.
The sink also isn't practical to wash up dishes if needed. Great idea but no practical
When your sleeping, your head is pretty much next to the road.

From the manager: We are sorry our campsite did not live up to your exacting standards. However we feel what we offer is of exceptional quality and value compared to other accommodation options within the area.
I will look into adding a shelf to each shower in addition to the hook that is already there for guests to hang their belongings on.
The lighting in the yurt is personal preference however they are a great off grid option.
As for the location of the yurts, they are placed as to not have an impact on the grass that is farmed in order to feed the animals during winter.
Unfortunately we are not in control of the speed limit on a country road. And sleeping under canvas it is investable you will hear outside noise.
