Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Amazing little find, great views, very quiet with clean portaloos.
Plenty of room for the kids to run around and the picnic tables were a nice bonus.
Great for a couple of days in nature for proper camping!
Very close to the monsal trail to walk stright from campsite if you dont mind abit of a hill.

Nice open area
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Does what it says on the tin! Nice open field and a couple of portaloos!
The people running it just leave you be and noticed them cleaning the toilets not long after we arrived.
Disliked Only downside was that majority of the field was sloped so we kept sliding down the bed in the night!! The other thing was that we only wanted to book one night because of the weather and the website wouldn't allow it so had to pay for 2 so lost out on £20. We mentioned it to the owners when we saw them so hopefully being resolved.
I also feel that £20 is a little steep, we stayed somewhere at the side of a reservoir with hardstanding pitches for £10 a night, so that had more going for it than here.

Simplicity itself. It’s a field. I loved it.
Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked Ultra peaceful, very basic but that’s why I chose it. Two portaloos, a few benches and some bins in a field. Super quiet which is just what I was after.
Disliked I wouldn’t say ‘disliked’ as that would be unfair but the field is on a slight slope. Didn’t affect me as I was set up at the top on a nice flat part overlooking the views. Leveling ramps are a must if your in a camper.
The reason I scored a 9/10 on value is only because £20 a night for a field with bins (I’m self contained so don’t need the toilets) is a smidge dear. £15 feels about right particularly as I stayed 3 nights.

Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked Absolutely perfect! So peaceful and clean with just wonderful views from any part of the field.
There was only 1 other camper there so you really could appreciate the tranquility. Walk to the pub was easy with fields of cows and sheep noisily grazing 🙂
The pub was a fab village pub that locals and walkers happily sat outside with a drink and good food.
Owner was friendly and easy to check in on the phone so totally recommend a visit.
